The client is set to autoupload every 6 hours if you have an always on Internet connection. You can toggle the client online and offline and use the manual update feature.
This is done by the to and then tts commands in CLI or by right clicking on the gui in M$ or there's a menu on the Linux GUI.
the gap is now down to 152, looks like we have them.
