    running client 30% faster?

    Hi All,

Was just wondering what exactly does the following point to?

"I heard there's a way to make it run 30% faster?
Yes, read the README on the Download page. "

    from the following page:

    http://www.distributedfolding.org/details.html

Have gone over the two different readme's and can't find what this is refering to. Is this just using the text client, or is there some special buffer tweak, ram disk, uncompress option etc?

    Thanks.

Ok, there was an option to do this when the client initially came out and Brian though it would lead to faster processing times. However, when this was tested by people once the client came out and was benchmarked, people discovered that the client was often SLOWER uncompressed and Brian decided to remove this feature since it did not appear to help.

    Thumbs up

    Okalee Dokalee then.

Thanks for the info. Mayhaps the link in the original distributing fold webpage should be edited then?

    Thanks.
