Minor Changes to Stats?

Hiya,

Here are two minor changes that might be interesting for the stats page:

1) Use comma separators for all numbers. It would make reading those big numbers much easier.

2) We have the number of registered participants, but how many of them are currently active? How about letting us know how many of the registered particicpants submitted results within the last 24 or 48 hours?

I just had a look at the stats page again. The numbers I am talking about are all embedded in GIFs. I expect your stats gathering spyder doesn't grab the numbers from GIF images?

What stats are you talking about? Oh, you mean the header on the homepage.

I never look at that... I go to the 'real stats' myself... That shouldn't break any of the spidies.

(Oh, and btw, OCRing that little gif would be trivial. So don't guess to soon! A fixed font already digitized and perfectly clean...)

I have been trying to train my spyders, but no luck yet.
