About two weeks until we could own #14 :D
Way to go!
I'm going on holiday to France tomorrow until 3rd June. I'll only be producing 2 or 3 Tnodes per day, so I fear I may lose some places! Maybe we'll have taken #14 by the time I get back. :)
Have some nice holidays!
Milestone achieved: 100,000 Gnodes

And I suddenly see life in Condor. Dang! I thought I was going to get to sneak up to number 10. Now I gots to fight for it!
Who woke Condor up? Another one that :train: me :swear:
But that's way to go for #14!!
swing another dual core this way 24/7 and a laptop for a few hours per weekday.
All helps
Good to have you with us Only and good to have you back Angus

:stomp: :stomp:
Oh yeah baby! Here we go....
We managed almost 600T today!

wus to crunch offline.
Just download them on one client and copy the .in and .out-files to the other machine. You do not have to overwrite the existing buffers there (but of course can), you can also use the "-import" command line parametert.
I've got all my 'Net attached boxen on Ogr. Let's see if I can start catching some of you guys big time. :Pokes:

trying to ramp up but with Brucifer back  and 16 actives we are hitting some serious numbers.
Go Team.
Didn't mean to interfere with your ramping up there Fozzie :) Just wanted to help the team get some points to try and make the push into the top ten before the project ends. With the numbers that everyone is generating it looks like we should be able to do it too.Quote:

I've just tried out a little offline test if it all goes well I'll pull a few GHZ over from DPAD.
I saw Condor saying the same so it would be nice to hit 650-700 a day.

The client keeps stopping when I run it offline. I've collected enough wus but it runs for a while then stops for no apparent reason.
Hi Fozzie.... you "problem" is very easy to resolve.
change the number 2 ( you had here a 4 I think) into a zero and off you go again until your buffer is emty.Quote:
[buffers]
frequent-threshold-checks=2
0 = crunch without connecting with a sever / proxy
2 = crunch wu and download a new 1 directly (so offline means that de core wont do anything because he cant download 1)
have Fun MegaFlushing
can you request longer lasting wus?
No.
You can only request more.
:bouncy:
C'mon Fozzie, You can't crunch while yer talkin'!

probably not enough but should see a nice :dump: Monday, showing up on Tuesday mornings update.
I'll be cutting my production for the next week because I'm on vacation in Greek :D drinking some Mythos and having some fun
Okay, time for the dumb question of the week, month, or year... :) The powers to be say that the project is at 52% or so completion. I would assume that is based on the percentage of total number of work units completed? I'm watching my crunchers just chewing through work units as we seem to be in a bunch of really short buggers. So supposing all or the majority of work units left for the project are short buggers, then does that lend to the belief that the second half of this project could go by really fast as compared to the first half???? Or is there some other way that they are tracking the completion percentage for the project?
edit: The competition is getting a little too close in my main project, so going to have to put some effort back into that to build up some distance again. sigh....
Brucifer: I don't have the answer about how the percentage is calculated. I do think we can make the top 10 before the project completes. I may have to start tracking their "completion" percentage. It is definitely rising as we pick up steam. As for switching back to the other project: thanks for joining us with whatever you can spare!

I'll get something back here shortly, just won't be as high as it's been. I'd like to see the top ten before the end of the project. Would be cool for the team history. And I'd like to see if I can get down into the 300's too. :)
Your thoughts to track the percentage probably isn't a bad idea as it would give an idea on how things are tracking.
Looks like I came back just in time to see us take some places. :) Of course, we had a power cut whilst I was on holiday so lost a couple of days production.
As for percentage calculation, this has been discussed extensively in another thread. To summarise:Oh, and have a good one the-mk!
- percentage completion is based on the number of stubs, not the number of nodes
- average stub length should shorten as we progress through the project, so percentage completion will rise faster as we get nearer to the end

Screw SoB and DPAD, Distributed.NET was my first DC project ever..... Well SETI, but that doesn't count. I retired my old e-mail addy into my new one I setup today, so I don't know if there will be any side affects on my stats with the team or not, but we'll find out on the next stat's update tomorrow evening. They officially update their stats around 6pm CST if I remember correctly right??
Let's go get a top 10 place.
That's easy! Give us a near impossible deadline first :cheers:Quote:
