Bigger WUs take longer to crunch.

FYI the team rankings on IB's wonderful stats posting are incorrect as Bok previously explained. Just didn't want anyone thinking we had #10 in 3.21 days.

Yeah -
I had to go no-net for almost 24 hours while QWEST dorked around changing my DSL service. I had lots of packets, but I couldn't get the client to run without a net connection.
Of course, I couldn't connect here to ask...
Anyway, I'm just a one PC cruncher, so I contributed very little to the drop in production.

Holy fark! Nice one.
I've only just finished off the tiny stubs that my pproxy had cached, but I've just started getting a couple of big ones this morning on my main machine:

Ah, I see now that we've started the first half of 5-diff stubs. Up until now all we've been doing is 6-diff stubs. The number of values separated by hyphens after "OGR-P2: 25/" helps you identify what type of stub it is. All the biggies we've mentioned today have been the new 5-diff stubs.
This page confirms that we have started them (38361468 5-diffs stubs : 0 < stub-length <= 98 In Progress).
Lower diff stubs will generally have more nodes and therefore take longer to crunch. So as we move on to 4-diff and 3-diff stubs later we could see bigger stubs than this!
Edit: just to be clear, we have not finished all 6-diff stubs yet - we're just doing them in tandem.
Got my main rig back up... That adds about 6GHz back into the fray. Also picked up another P4 here at work... Gonna see if I can maybe find one more... Would be nice.
so will try to :dump: 80K+ tomorrow.
Added 3 more CPUs to the fray....
Finished my second-biggest paket:

added 2.8 Ghz today. I might fire up the Core 2 Duo laptop, not sure.
I've been finishing the last half dozen or so in the 500+ Gnode range, and others in the 300-400 range as well. big, chewy WUs :)
Would anyone mind having the Free-Dc key server stats reset?
http://stats.free-dc.org/dnet/ogr/byemail.html
The above stats are for monitoring your pharms output and there is not much in it for historical purposes as it only measures how many keys you take or return to that key server and has nothing to do with the grand totals. Some have used it temporarily, some have never used it.
Bok might be willing to run it more often, like hourly (hint), if he could purge the data.
If one wants to know how they are doing historically, you have Bok's other fine stats system to consult.

IB -
I actually sent Bok an updated version of the script, which should be substantially faster. I don't think he's had a chance to compare them yet though...
Hopefully soon ;)
I guess I must be the one that did not know or use it because I am not listed there:cry:Quote:

I only half use Bok's pproxy so a reset is fine with me.
I would lose my rank within that stats but you may reset them if you need to do so.
@TeeJay: the "791.59 stats units" is a really big one :D
we need to score 150,000 more than we did today to overtake Namibia by tomorrow's deadline.
I'll be collecting everything today and should increase my output by 40,000. So across everyone else we need 110K
So :dump: 'em if you've got 'em.
First: I'm at #800 in project rank!
Second: we hit the 1,000,000 GNodes (it was 1,009,245 GNodes exactly)

It is hitting 90+ outside and with the Nodes running it is 105 to 110 in the garage even with 2000 cfm air movement
