WOOT!
Next up 30 will be a long climb but we can do it if we keep our production rates at our current rate.
Anyone know why the stats aren't being updated by the distributed.net's server? They didn't run yesterday, and don't appear to have run today either.
It happens from time to time. They'll get it right after a day or two.
For the longest running distributed projects on the net..Dnet has a pretty good track record.
Right out from the Cow's mouth:

So, nothing to worry about.Quote:
Although the stats website is still accessible, they are currently not
being updated because we are currently investigating some possible
hardware issues that were noticed after a recent power failure.
Hopefully once we are confident about the status of the box, we will
resume stats updates again. Don't worry, since no data loss is
expected. :)

Oh most definitely!! A lot of other projects could take some real valuable lessons from distributed.net!
30
way to go!
Yep, pretty cool!! :) Gonna feel bad about #29 though as I've got some friends there.... :( How-some-sever, crunching is crunching. :)
:woot:
Keep on rollin people.
29 is a rather hard climb but we can do it.
:swear: bah, I'm missing the stats!
Decibels .plans say:

More drive issues with fritz, so stats are off for right now...
Stats still offline :swear:
.plans:
Quote:
:: 13-Nov-2005 12:33 CST (Sunday) ::
fritz (statsbox) is currently offline due to issues with the drive controller.
We're working to bring it back up as soon as possible, but in the mean time,
we're keeping stats offline while we make sure the hardware is ok.
All work is still being counted. The stats-site will catch-up once we bring it
online again.
Stay tuned for further updates!
According to decibel's .plan, their fixed stats box is online and working through the backlog.
They would only need to bring it back to the datacenter...
And as soon as it is back online I know how many OGR stubs I've crunched that long time :D
Another thing that burns me:
Why is distributed.net OGR and distributed.net RC5 splitted into two subforums here at free-dc.org?
Why can't we merge this two forums (i.e. for stats thingys like this) and create two sub-sub-forums for each project like it is in the BOINC area?
Would that be an idea? Or am I the only one who likes this  ?
Sounds ok to me, wait a day or so, to see if there is any other reaction, otherwise I'll do that.
Bok
Better stay out of the sun to. :pQuote:

There are 19 projects under BOINC. You want them all on the front page? ;)
Speaking selfishly... I only crunch OGR. I don't want to be bothered with RC5 shtuff or have it in my way.
It's all about me y'know.. :)
What I don't want is to merge all posts into one distributed.net forum.
What I want is a structure like this:
distributed.net "top"-forum for issues concerning both projects (stats, new clients, ...)
- OGR "sub"-forum only for OGR crunching
- RC5 "sub"-forum only for RC5 crunching
Just like the BOINC forum in here, with all its subforums for each project.
You know what I mean? but I think I've already said that :D
As if my "vote" has any consequence..I vote to leave it as it is.
BTW, OGR stats are at 11/23. Hopefully they will be back in sync by COB 11/28.
Mmm...All the chocolaty stats goodness you could ever want is now available again courtesy of Dnet.
mmmm...
Looks like we are still at position 30th from last seen.
Guess we will have to work harder now.
Onwards.
And the stats are still crapped out over at dnet.
No one noticed our jump from 30 to 29... but I did :D
29
Hey everybody, we are in the top 30 list!!! :|party|: :drums: :elephant:
#28 and #27 are asleep.
Won't be until #24 that we run into large production again.
You all are da bomb!!
28
:elephant: :drums:
27
great job!
You all are monsters!! :|party|:
I'm just happy I got my production back up to 10T a day where it was. I am glad though I don't have all those boxes to keep track of :)
Happy New Year OGR Team!!!!
 :|party|: :|party|:

Just flushing some OGR stubs with the new client because my Rosetta clients are running out of work :D
Chinasaur, where did you go to? Just surfed through the stats and saw that your production decreased in the last few weeks! What's going on? Did I miss something?
My heating bill is going through the roof :( I turned it off for a bit. I can' complain though..chick I know in Indiana just had a $400 heating bill for December :(
I found a guy at work who has access to SEVEN WoW machines - his and his roommates..and he has no problems with me giving him an OGR .zip to run on his machines. See how that turns out...
Otherwise, I'm going to curtail my energy use/throttle Dnet until warmer weather :(
ahhh, im sorry to hear that china...only a few months until the warmer months are here. Maybe global warming will help it get warmer more quickly and you can get back to crunching.:hifi:
Or I should get used to a 60deg house.
Lots of great days last week Py! :)
Thanks China. Its because of the new core that has improved my keyrate these past few days.Quote:

Carlos
I have two duals (G5 Dual 1.8 & Athlon X64 Dual 2.2) doing as much as five systems just a few months ago.
Great improvement AND helps my electrical bill ;)
And I have to turn of some pieces of my mini-pharm, because of the electrical bill :( no more 24/7...
Mk,
I feel your pain. :(
The team should be at #25 today. Amazing output you lot!!!!
Did you mean this pain? --> :haddock:
:wife: complaining about high electricty bill :D
I feel like that: :whip:
But I'm happy that we've reached the #25 spot!!
Great job everybody!
:partypop:
Good work!
Great job team.
25th in the world.
Onwards still.
Wow, we're really climbing.
I must have the lowest consistent output, EVER! The only box I have on OGR full time is a P2 233. I'd love to throw more on it again at some stage, just got everything tied up at the mo.
Hey PY,
Pretty steady output amigo! How many boxes/cpu's you have working? Wondering what your Ghz to "T" ratio is?
Thanks China.Quote:

I've got about 36 Celeron 2.4Ghz running OGR with the latest client version. So you can do the ratios as I don't really know.
I am going to redeploy the OGR-25 fleet to work on R@H as it seems like we might need a little push there.
For those of you that are still doing OGR-25, keep em Rollin to hold the Fort down.
Wow. Both Py and fobot are at nil production.
I can put my three boxes online and be the top producer on the team.
What's not to like!!!
Come back soon big d00ds..we need your firepower.
One of the first days where I'm the top producer of the day :D
Nice going the-mk! Keep chuggin'.
I keep meaning to put more horsepower on OGR but my DCR ranking is so low that I'm trying to hit areas where I am lacking production (currently SoB).
once again, I'm the top producer of the day ago...
:Pokes: what's up big guys? are you :sleepy:
I'm not a big guy, but I honestly can't justify spending the energy to do this project full time. :( Weekends are all I can do :(
