OK, here I go:
1. Got me an Osborne 1 with CP/M in 1983, been hooked since then.
2. Same as Dyy, HOCP- Ars- forums- Genome@Home- TPS.
3. For 3 years.
4. Genome@Home, Distributed Folding, + a...
I have been using DF on dual machines since december 2001. Set up in two different directories, not as a service, in quiet mode. AMD: 2 MSI K7D-L, Tyan 2466, Asus A7M266-D, Iwill MPX2. Intel: VP6....
I have 6 duals and 1 single, and it shows 7 computers and 13 CPU's, which should be right. However, average CPU is not right.
Added my boxes, wow, what am I doing with all this power in my home;)
And, I think the megahertz ratings are a bit pro- Intel, you know that AMD- Mhz and Intel- Mhz are different nowadays:jester:
Well, I didn't go with Barton this time, they are expensive in Norway right now, but I bought two TbredB's 2100+, and modded L3 to 2800+, and both posted and ran W2K in single mode on MSI K7D-L....
:D Very nice, Phil. I think I'll join the Barton adventure in a couple of days.
I run a Tyan 2466, two MSI K7D-L and one Iwill MPX2, and haven't had any troubles. But if I should get another MPX...
All XP T-breds have L5 cut, some XP Palominos have have L5 uncut, most are cut, T-birds were uncut, so you better get out your pen;)
If I remember right, the Tyan 2460 is certified up to MP1900+, so bios may not have info. You could check if there's a new bios.
Just finished building a dual AMD the other day: Iwill MPX2, 2 x XP2400, etc. Very nice board this Iwill
:D Very good stats :D I primarly use them as FoBoT mentioned.
But I agree with Madness on the team- clicking thing.
I'll go for two sets of stats, overall and phase 2, IF that's OK with the statsgurus.
I go to the forum, read new posts, close the forum, come back a few hours later, look at new posts, and the posts I read last time are still marked as new posts. I've had this problem for two- three...
:D Clapping my hands and jumping around, happy birthday to us, and it keeps me warm in -12 C (10 F) here in Oslo, Norway :scared:
Have a nice Christmas everyone
Thank you, Dyyryath:D
Much faster for me now.
Nice dual, but you should remember that this board- 2460, has had trouble with ATX connector melting (all the power going through there), specially...
i agree with FoBoT
Yesterday I upgraded an MSI K7D-L (upgraded bios first) with two AXP 2400+ (connected L5), and it's crunching nice and fast.
My experience:
Tyan 2466- very stable, have worked with different kind of memory (unreg. Samsung 2700, unreg. Micron 2100, reg. Crucial 2100), not much to tweak in bios.
MSI K7D-L- very stable...
When I looked through "the teamjumper thread", I noticed- at the bottom of JTrinkle's post: returning soon;)
Might as well enjoy being number 10 while I can........
 :) :D :|party|:
Thank you
Good to read this, Dyyryath :)
Nice instructions from Steve:)
When I did my XP1800, the L5 bridges that were cut and needed to be connected, were the ones facing the core, at the inner end. And I found that it was convinient to...
Same thing as IronBits on my dual machines using W2K
Perfect upgrade this time:D
All clients were crunching the new protein when I came home. I see a red wave coming:eek:
Look at Scoofy, over 4 millions:cool:
Are you back like you were in your golden days?
