Phil, did you ever doubt this? :)
Great, thanks for that. :)
Thanks :)
Hello Free-DC, greetings and Happy New year. :)
I am interested in this project, and have a few questions, if you don't mind.
1. Roughly how long to generate a set of data (for upload)?
2....
Ok thanks, I was getting this with a diskless Linux, I'll have to allocate more RAM disk to /tmp obviously!
Many thanx.
Hi Brian, I have a machine that creates the following error:
Can you please point me in the right direction on this one. What could possibly produce this error.
I am using the latest gcc Linux...
Well if IPtables aint installed (and I doubt your newer distros will install IPchains) and your having this problem with ALL Linux boxen, I would have to say that is weird.
My advise, install...
You could try deleting all IPTABLES rulesets.
/sbin/iptables -X
/sbin/iptables -F
If it's not a firewall issue, you have a route setup and you can resolve IP's, then I am at a loss... The beer...
Shoot man, I dont know... Maybe I'll just have to jump on a jet plane and come take a look. :swear: :bang: :swear:
You can resolve domain names from the Linux machine yes?
According to my /dev system, 10,134 is the apm_bios device. What is the client doing with power management?
Looks fine. It you run the DF client while tailing your logs you will see if you have an IPTABLE block on the port.
su <passwd>
tail -f /var/log/messages
Do you have a default route setup?
What does /sbin/route produce?
Go wind! Why oh why are the 3rd world countries adopting nuclear power before wind I will never know...
Checkout these shots taken of the Albany windfarm being built:...
Yay! (Measure all 8 amps of it) :D
Only guessing, but I doubt the secondary side of the PSU has any influence on mains power factor. The mains side a common switchmode is simply a full-wave bridge rectifier looking into a nice juicy...
Cool. Make sure your not reading peak current as your energy supplier charges for energy used not peak current transients. :D
You are quite correct there Jodie, but may I add the folowing:-
[list=1]
You can use Watts assuming a power factor of 1.0 otherwise the old V * A formula is out. Unfortunately, switch mode power...
I just received a mail update from the Analog-X web site. They also have a small web server. I have not used it but if it's like nay of his other software, its good.

M$ Greedy? No!
GNU = Good! :|party|:
Your must be using Winblows. :D Try that on Linux my friend! :D
Everyone is very excited about the new cleint speed-up of 200%/2 times/3 times as fast but I must ask, will the server(s) handle the extra load of work being returned twice as often? It appears that...
Doof, and I was looking forward to a client that would process in half the time. Oh well. :D
How did you manage to run DF on a p133?
I certainly had no joy on a p166...
If you wish to make those old systems more effieicent, go diskless with NFS.
I doubt the DF client data would be pushed to swap, as stuff not accessed for a long time is pushed first.
