Time to bring this thread to the top again.
Nice to see that you're doing the display again this year, Jeff.
I just watched a show on cable called something like "Invasion of the Christmas...
This is an invite-only project ???????
Was that before, during, or after the DLB and Wate fiasco ?
But there is more coming :)

Not having good luck with the new forum.
It also looks the stats for Orbit don't update very often. Right now it shows no updates for today, either in the Last Update or Today columns. All...
I was going to point out that you weren't even showing in top 10 daily users
Oh yeah, easy for you to say
Every time I click that, I get logged out.
laurenu2 - 40K in one update ?? !!!!! good grief. and you're probably just getting warmed up
I'm pretty tickled to see this project finally doing some real work !
BTW, where did all the smilies go? Don't see the big menu of them any more.
should the "Home" button on the top menu bar return the user to http://www.free-dc.org or http://www.free-dc.org/forum as it does now?
That seems to be a bit redundant whit the "Forum"...
And I thought it was just me.
The stats site shows "not logged in", while I'm logged in to the forum.
Does "Log Out" - inadvertant or otherwise - clear the cookies on purpose, overriding the "remember me" setting?
Getting logged out always displays this message:

The "Reply" or "Reply with Quote" buttons at the bottom of each post have an entry window only 5 lines tall.
Using "Go Advanced" logs me out.
Using the browser "back" function from the reply...
http://www.free-dc.org/forum still points to the "No Permissions" page.
Also, is there a way to make the new message window any bigger? It's only 5 lines tall, and makes it difficult to...
Pretty obvious , I'd say...

Gosh - where have I heard that before?
Ummm - Do you and Elena talk much? - in this thread, only a few minutes before your post...
I've experienced all the same issues with multi-CPU W2K servers - in my case, new Dell multi-Xeon rack-mount server class machines.
In my opinion, the client should take care of it's files...
The Paduan plague approaches the gates! :sniper:
:machgun: Man the barricades!
Borg Boxen :fight:
Added one today to share with CPN, will add a couple more tomorrow.
I'll see if I can get some of the boxes set to use specific TEMP folders tomorrow - if not, then they'll have to slowly die by thenselves as I'm away on a trip for a week.
None of this explains...
This is for *WINDOWS* boxes???
I see nothing in the c:\WINNT\foldtraj.ini or anything in the DF folders would lead one to think that the client is using anything other than it's own .\ folder for...
I'm running four instances on each box, each living in and started with it's own dfGui from it's own folder..
I haven't done anything else, and it's been working fine like this for a long time....
Somehow I missed this earlier.
All mine that 'quietly stop' are recording an error in the error.log
Not a permissions problem - client can run for days before giving this error, run as admin...
Did I accidently get into the wrong forum?
