Halo,
How about you stop by each and every day and harvest from my systems that don't have internet access? That way I won't be "hording" completed units and you will have one less thing to...
top ten-er (barely...and probably for not much longer---there is some serious horsepower closing on me quickly!)
I am fine with any of options: Reset to zero, continue on, or start a new set of...
I think I qualify as a stat-ho (at least I have been called such).
That said, I am fine with the plan.
Insidious does bring up a good point though. Do you see a big difference in overall...
" - as a side effect, each machine will need to be uniquely identified so it will be not be easy to, say, generate on one machine and then upload from another - this is necessary to avoid other nasty...

Ni!
Short version? It sucks.
I don't have the actual numbers anymore, but when setting up a Dell PE6600 with four physical processors, I did a weekend worth of DF crunching as part of the burn in.

No problem at all. I was just stirring the pot so to speak.
Some of us at KWSN were taken to task when we spoke out against a certain person moving results among teams in...
Hmmm, I thought that we were all here to help Howard (et al) with some science and try to have a little fun in the process.
I guess I forget that some here equate DF results (and team results)...
MAD-ness speaks the truth.
I also recommend you give DF a try. And don't let some jerks (a very small minority in this project) sway your opinion. Let your machines do the talking if...
Sadly, budget constraints at the asylum known as KWSN have forced us to reduce the level of medication for some of our more troubled members. The keeper of the budget has been sacked.
We also...
Coinincidence.
Nah, me thinks SBSP's hijacking of my fine name is something much more nefarious. SBSP is acting weird(er) than usual. We are being investigated by the British Dental Association....
Worry not...Tis nothing more than the immates of the asylum entertaining themselves...Trust me, this is a much better outlet then having the Knights running loose on the streets...shudder...

TI-99/4a's...they are monsters. Problem is that I keep having to clean the heads on my cassette-tape drives...:bang:
Don't believe M2k1guy. Some have seen his true DC farm. Dells? Ha. In reality he has cornered the used Commodore 64 market and is running thousands of the little grey beasts from a specially...
Thank you Jeff! :notworthy
It worked great using your process.
Jerome,
I will try that with my remaining CPUs.
Thank you and

Great...I just lost around 3million results then...:swear:

Just lost 500,000 nonetted results. When I launched the old client (and yes, with the -u t switch!!!!!) it...
1) deleted the old results
2) started to update the...
Thanks. I will hold back for a while. Just a little edgey being I have a couple million results nonetted.
Take care,
rg
I might be wrong about loosing one fileset each time...hard to tell for sure though...
Anybody able to upload? It tries...and it dies...and it *appears* to loose a batch each time it tries...
:bang:
And unlike some other projects, one does not have to wait long at all....Great job as always, Howard!
:)
Dyyryath, you rock!!!!:|party|:  :D
Mucho Thanks.

Howard is 100% correct IMHO.
I am currently just south of the top 10 and greatly appreciate what it will take to get on that list. Leave Howard to the science and good people like statsman.org...
While I personally haven't done any benchmarking, I would say that the text client (aka "the ASCII Snake") would fold much faster. The text client has much less overhead than the screensaver...
