I don't know what you're laughing at -- It happens to me all the time. :confused:
A 3ware controller looks like a SCSI disk to the OS (yet uses IDE drives). If your OS can speak SCSI, it will handle 3ware controllers. 3ware offers drivers, but, they just add additional features...
If most/all of these bugs are corrected, will you release updates for the affected clients, or wait for the next protein? Or, is a memory leak-fixing Linux client on the way out, too? :D
I've been experiencing this issue on my DF boxen, too.
BUMP.
Oh, calm down. I'm sure Howard is well aware of any issues you're having and is working on it. Complaining about all the misfortune you've encountered from a small bug in a peice of distributed...
Bah... Stop whining and be patient. I'm sure Howard wants these problems resolved more than anyone else. It will get done -- give it time.
Sure. I believe the domain is necessary in the HTTP request to tell the proxy which domain to request... Perhaps some (or most) proxies cannot, when being used transparently, gain as much...
One thing I have noticed with my Squid transparent proxy, Howard;
When the client sends the HTTP request, it does not appear to send the hostname in the GET or POST request..... An example of the...
Mine updated, but it took some effort. The http://www.distributedfolding.org/server.status page the client queries was displaying incorrect values (This was direct from distributed folding -- Not my...

Neither of my Linux boxen (The Win2K box hasn't connected recently -- it's much slower) have received this update. When I ran ./foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -ut just a few minutes ago, it...
One of my clients has been able to upload quite a few WU, however, the other one is still producing structures faster than can be sent. Prior to this period of uploading difficulty, when a client...
My folding boxen have not been able to upload much work during the past 2-4 days. Even though I'm on dialup, normally I can get several days work from my Tbird 1ghz@1.37ghz (Linux), Duron 800...
Nevermind -- Evidently, I didn't consider the effect of my transparent proxy. :) I have seen similar results for applications that send a HTTP request in the form of:
GET / HTTP/1.0
instead of...
I can confirm this problem on a new distfolding install. I'm running Debian Linux (3.0, aka Woody), and all other services are working properly. When I run tcpdump on my firewall box (Another...
