would be nice to see a reply from Louie or someone with access to the code that they are aware of the problem and are looking at it

Now that we are approaching 100 T in seiving...how do all of your graphs look?
Slatz
thanks for everyones work on the new clients...damn we have come a long way.
With the new proth sieve..i saw an increase of roughly 20%.
Great Job to all involved.

big picture...sieving is good for the project
little picture...most of us are doing DC for the stats because we are stats junkies...so I agree that anything that scews the stats over the long haul...
i don't think we are talking about the overall project slowdown. i am talking about my personal pc going from 120Kcems/s about a week ago down to the mid 90's yesterday.
When i woke up this...
i have noticed the slowdown also, as have many of my Anandtech teammates.
Last time that it was an fft issue, it was a step change down and then started to come back up with the next larger prp...
PIII 1 ghz from 104 to 116 with v 1.28...very nice indeed
Slatz
Just another data point, I got an 11 % increase from 1.27 over 1.24 on a PIII 1 ghz machine
Slatz
thanks for the graph...looks like the sieving is still doing better than prp testing
Slatz
Nuri, can we get an updated graph now that we are approaching 12T sieved!!

I have to throw my two cents in with xrillo..the client freezing has become a major issue of late. I have had my client freeze 3 times in the past 5 days. Several members of my team, Anandtech,...
several of my Anandtech teammates and myself are reporting that with the k/n values that we have gotten in the last few days have slowed down the rates significantly...>10% in most cases.
My rates...
thanks for the replys...guess it will just crunch along at whatever speed it will go:p

only been sieving for a day now...running v1.22 on a dell machine with a P4 1.8 ghz and 512 ram.
Only getting about 55000 p/sec with an alpha of 2.9
that seems awful slow to me for this...
