Is there any chance that you can post the interesting part of the verifier script/webpage?
It seems to accept bigger factors...
I just submitted some random factors from result.txt and
961094450858074349|67607*2^4022171+1
was accepted and verified.
Maybe something with the...
:D
Definitely!
And there is no need to deinstall the old client before. Just make sure that the client is not running while you're installing the new one. Of course you need to install it into the...
just press the Help-button, you'll see it is indeed v1.20.
This is a known bug (if you even can call it bug), and I guess Louie will take care of it in the next release...
yes :D
it was not too bad with v1.11
but you should definitely switch to v1.20 where SSE2-optimization for P4s are reenabled again, that should give you at least a 30% speed boost :notworthy
Thanks! :elephant:
Works perfectly. This is much more fun!
Thanks!
I left my box over the holidays, so it won't submit any blocks for two weeks or so.
But my test is almost finished, especially with the new client it wouldn't take more than a day to finish it.

alrighty
I'm using the new 1M-20M Sob.dat. Should I still reserve my range with DC sieve or are the threads going to be merged some time soon?
Hypothetical the maximum size is unlimited. But I think the odds of finding a record factor are pretty small. I run sbfactor with B1=30000 and B2=320000 which is what the bounds optimizer gives me....
Thanks for your help, I just found out, that I was just not patient enough.
Apparently some buffer is written to the outputfile in 4kb blocks, I just didn't wait long enough to see it happen before...
Well, I tried that, too, but it equally just creates an emtpy file, doesn't write anything into it.
I thought about that, too, but it gives me lower bounds than with 45. Isn't it actually...
I was trying to redirect the output of sbfactor to a file with something like
./run.sh 5322000 5323000 > progress
but there is nothing written to progress.
The idea behind this is to start...
Seems to work here too.
Did anyone try to use an older version??
I once tested the 31337 account with an P4 and it worked just fine. That was when v1.1 wasn't out yet.
I use the sse2 client v0.37, too, no special settings.
I think the speed is due to the 800 MHz PSB (Processor System Bus, but don't ask me what that presicely is) and fast memory.
On my another...
474 kps on dual range with a P4 2.6 GHz
Does it just happen with this k and n?
No, it was a different block. The full test was at about 85%, now it's at zero again.
This is really annoying...
:( It happened again, might this be a bug in v1.10??
i can't find another zxxxxxx file either...
And the registry key is set correctly to my sb directory.
Maybe the reason is that somebody (my brother) killed the sb-client before it restartet its...
Same thing here. That's really not good!!! :(
