Access to the Opteron here is still just an email away...
We started in May 2001 but several people have merged in results from before that time...
More like a few hundred machines running about 2.5 years... :)
Your account is approved, we have to do that to keep people from spamming the forum... :(
Possibly your directory is set up for read-only, or you have run out of space, or maybe you are exceeding your quota, and the temp file is never getting written?
You might consider posting this...
Access to the Opteron is easily arranged... Just email me...
I'm not sure why you all would need physical access, but I'm not a developer so I don't know much...
I'd like a totally CLI client for Win32...
Yeah, and no registry crap! Just text configuration files...
:)
Look in your start menu... There is a utility for seeing if it is working...
Start Menu -> Programs -> Intel Application Accelerator -> Intel Application Accelerator
We all run Prime95 as a backup... That way no cycles are ever lost... Until SOB borks it will consume 98%+ of the available cycles...
It helps that our team does both... :)
Constantly swapping the dataset out of L2 cache can't be a good thing, unless both datasets can fit in there... I suppose you'd have a better chance of success with a Northwood P4 since it has 512K...
I've been using this page to calculate digits...
http://www.mersenne.org/bench.htm
I wonder how accurate it is? Here is some of the code...
//Compute decimal digits
...
The Intel Application Accelerator does the same thing...

I don't see that happening any time soon... :)
Congrats on the find, though!

I know Ernst and I have run mlucas for a long time... It does pretty good on my old Ultra 1...
1- I asked this earlier, but all I got back was math mumbo-jumbo...:bang: Basically, how much "work" does this project need to complete?
2- How can I convert my stats to P90 years?
3- I have...
I vote for cumulative stats...
What is the point of ramping up production if the stats get reset all the time?
It is obviously not infinite... Any guesses how much work there is to do and how long we can expect this project to last?
Even a worst case scenario estimate would be nice...
Thanks!

It looks like the one box hasn't switched names yet...

Actually, we run the overall BBS for GIMPS, so that is not exclusively for TPR...
We do have a rockin thread here...
...
And 100 years in GIMPS is no joke either...
(These smilies kill me!)
But if any of you should decide to take this challenge, TPR is here for you...
:)
Set your terminal window larger so it has some room to grow... I run mine at 189x99 which fits nicely in a 1152x864 window... (Raster Fonts 6x8 looks good)...
I haven't gotten anything near that...
IronBits-
Thanks for your support! It is so great that we can be friends in such a competitive arena...

Getting Java to install via the command line was pretty easy, but I haven't figured out how to install Ubero that way yet...
I wonder if you can copy the Ubero folder over frm an existing Linux...
