Ok, yes those are from the top line, was not sure what all was included. The same numbers appear with the top command (at the top). The mem number shown for foldtrajlite does seem to get restored to...
Some memory usage numbers. I just started the GCC version Linux client to try overnight.

I don't know if it is just me but the Linux clients seem to have (still have?) a memory leak problem. The ICC version after running several hours never gives back enough memory. When run for 12 or...
The Linux updates I got(Not the full tar.gz) seem to be the correct size 33k, still waiting to get through gen 0 to be sure all is working.
The Windows client crashed on all my Windows systems...
The Phase2 FAQ says no credit after a changeover. So unless this has been changed, good luck.
At least the change is not on Friday the 13th! :D
If the next update/changeover is close (maybe next week???) I can easily wait for the Linux version. If it's not that close to changeover time, then a Linux (ICC version) would be nice to test for a...
The speed seems ok with todays update, but
it seems the benchmark is borked.
When running I see the following
opening rotamer Lib

The bench mode works ok on my windows system, have not tried it on Linux yet.
On a P4 2.4 the bench shows the new client is 5 times slower !!!!!!!!!!!

I have the same problems on my systems, there are 150 gens buffered.
Just hope these don't go down the crapper when this gets fixed.
Some rebuild/recovery instructions would be great.
Also PLEASE...
Argh, that's a stupid typo in the post, it's not in the command line like that. It took me 4 times to get that post into the forum so I was in a hurry type mode. In the real file it is a -qf, the...
Ok, first I fixed the problem by downloading the whole new package, installing it and recreating the batch files. Seems to work ok.

Sorry went past the edit time limit.
The Linux client seems to work fine with the -g 0 on all my systems.
Anyone else have trouble running with the -g 0 argument?
For me the client fails at start telling me it's an invalid argument and needs a - but the dash is there. Take out the -g 0 and client runs...
Dyy,
You scared the cr*p out of me for a second when I first checked.
Excuse me now I must go change my shorts :D
Well this is a very nice place indeed, thank's for the temp hangout
I'm thinking they (ARS) must have hit a real glitch to have the forums down this long.
Only problem is not every one knows to...
The Stats don't seem to be updating, last update time was Tuesday 21:30 EDT. Current time is 6:00EDT Wednesday.
The server seems to allow 1 or 2 data sets to upload then times out. It has been in this mode for about the past 4 hours. Other people have noted the problem in the 909 error thread but possibly no...
Thanks, I'll be interested in your results.
Funny thing how those lists never get smaller ;)
Hey Paratima,
Couple of questions for you
1-Where did you get V1.1 of the bench script and what's the difference from v1.0?
2-I have a 1700+ which gets 140000/day, shouldn't a 2200+ get more than...
Sorry, the memory on both systems was DDR, P4 was CL2.
As for the P4 being crippled, see the numbers from the previous protein, quite respectable vs 1700xp yes?( and I don't need a screamer fan and...
Some quick and dirty tests show some interesting results I think.
Both systems using W2k, client switches -df -qt -g 100 -it
3 hour runs stopped and rerun
Both using -rt
AMD 1700xp @1463 ...
What Mr Fist didn't tell you is that
all new proteins will be 400% slower :jester:
My .02 cents
24 hours full credit cutoff, IF the changeover(s) are not on or near a weekend. This allows people using work systems and manual uploads/updates not to make a special trip to the office.
Well
don't have a pension,
don't have any kids
and don't have a job
but
I'll sure have a beer anyway:cheers:
As for folding on, I will think about it for a while, what with wasteful weekly...
