The previous protein was 8.80, which took about a month to reach. I believe it took a couple weeks just for it to go below 10.0 The new algorithm hit 8.87 after ~24 hours.
I don't post on this board very often, but I have to say that there is more whining here on a patch day than the whining when they patch Everquest.
Checking my home machines, one was running correctly and the second needed to be restarted twice.
Well there isn't a perfectly fair solution. The current setup rewards people for sticking with the project over time.
Part of the fun with the current system is that point outputs are widely...
It always takes us a few days to ramp up after a switch, if this new protein is even moderately fast you're probably going to pass us again. At least for a few days.
What's the point of having the thermometer if you're just going to change the goal to whatever our 5 week output is?
The only question I asked that is even close to being answered in the phase II FAQ is about performance, but the questions I'm asking is different.
Sorry if I sound blunt, I'm fighting tendinitis...

Renaming filelist.txt did get it started again (at version 0 of course).
When starting in visible mode it says calculating 108 trajectory distribution (or something similar to this) with the...
I have tried that, it doesn't give any message.
Using Windows XP, the client is installed as a service. It is having a problem with calculations after gen 107 has been completed. I'm not seeing any of the error messages other posts are listing....
I believe the current rule is that you can only have 1 gen from the same 250 gen. set. But if you have multiple processors or go through more than 250 gens. you can be listed multiple times.
No luck, it died after a few hours. I'll run the mem check when I can find time, since I'm on the clock.

Thanks for the response.
This is a work machine, which I have never tried to OC. It has been rock solid for over a year now.
I got it to start running again by uninstalling and then totally...
I am running a dual Xeon machine with 2GB of ram. When I came in this morning the first processor had shut down some time on Sunday. The second processor is still chugging along fine. I've never...
