A Happy and Healthy 2004 To Everybody.
May the Spirits of Folding be kind to All :D
I can't argu With a Team M8 :D
I got it once also but i could recreate a Filelist.txt from my dust bin.
I only had to do a (few) purgelist-1 to get most of my cached files to upload.
Yep, You guy's are right, it's a slow scoring protein and it is hard now to pass anyone.....
But it's not for the stat's we do this project or am I wrong
I know the stat's are big in...
97mb, 98mb and 107mb
these usages are about the same as when I yesterday looked.
It seems not all systems are affected because I cant see any leak of memory at my systems
3x win xp
2x amd 2400+, 1x amd 1333
Did you let windows repair the file size?
I know from the time I still had win98 I never let it repair the file size and DF just resumed as normal.
Only thing was that that was with the old client...
I had the same error message and also couldn't find any faults in my RAM.
New install solved all problems for me also, I'm also blaming a corrupt file.
running smoothly for about 10 days...
Dutch translation is on its way :D
I'm trying to do the dutch translation
I had the same problem but changing the decimal solved it for me also.
mine stopped at 15.544 now its running fine again
I didn't look at the progress.txt file so can't help you with that....
I'm still a member of The Genome Collective
Thanks Brian, just as normal, A good and quick response from you (and Team) :notworthy
I'll wont be needing that update, I can manage till the next update :)
It now has done 5000 units and saved those to disk but no Filelist file (btw its now half-way the next 5000 units)
so I think it still doesnt make/update the filelist file.
I'll let it run until...
I haven't tryed it with this client but with the last one it didn't make a filelist.txt file (or you had to shutdown without uploading then it did) out of it's own.
It also didn't updated that file...
But what about us no-netters?
when we have a crash after the program has started and the computer is running unattended (so 24/7 without closing) it doesnt make or update the filelist.txt file so...
It's not the size or number of computers you have crunching/folding or whatever you want to call it, wich counts but the fact that your willing to put your resources into any DC project.
Some...
I did some more testing and saw that, when you start the client for the first time or had done a upload, there wouldn’t be a filelist.txt file in the folding directory until you close the client in...
I found maybe another thing and I am testing this now, if this is something I'll come back on it.
Sorry :( It seems the client is doing what it has to do, and what I wanted
I only don't understand why it didn't do that when I tested it:confused:
And I still have no Idea why my...
Thanks guy's  but that I knew already but I wanted to know is "why the client isn't" or "how to make" the client update/save its data out of its own so if something goes wrong I dont have to...
I noticed that I lost 7 days of no-netting because of a crash(power failure in the village) and found that the client doesnt write info to the filelist.txt file until it is closed properly.
but...
Welcome to the project Elana
Hope you don't have problems with the switch and that they may be back soon.
Great Stats, Statsman
