I've never seen that option, just normal proxy.
Nothing about it in the readme.
Mind giving a few pointers if that is the case?

How about an option of supplying an addy where the clients can find updates? Would be great if you could have a server at your own network so that the nodes/clients won't all have to hog the official...
As have been said: in some future client, it will download some crap which will then be combined with random junk to form an organized pile of shit which will then be transported on the info highway...
True :) Which is why I created a custom 686 CVS LFS a while back... more to fiddle with :)
Btw, pretty nice interface... although I am perplexed of the reasons for what seems to be the chosen solutions for some tasks (it's probably just me, who interprete the screenshots incorrectly).

*sigh*
Wish I had the equipment to build a cluster of my own... would bang together a custom (686 optimized) Linux distro and a system for starting/stopping/checking progress/ of the DF clients,...
The "konsole" must be badly programmed then. I noticed something similar with the gnome-terminal, although not at all as bad. If you want even more speed, just stop the output to the terminal...
Perhaps you guys have written lousy firewalls? My boxes works perfectly.
Anyway, here are two sniffing apps:
dsniff
sniffit
Both should be available through the ports system in FreeBSD.

No problem, I'll run a multi-cpu system 24/7 just for the SUN team, if you just sponsor the hardware :)

Um, I don't know how some here are thinking, but this is my POV:
If you want anonymity (sp?) to the degree of not attracting attention for creating many structures (e.g.), then you would NOT join a...
No, obviously not. You need somebody to be searching for you first, but the statement still stands:
if you are unique, you can be found. Of course one can be found even if you're not special too,...
I've said my opinion already. I would, however, like to point out that you're not anonymous if you're unique.

I think the ideas previously suggested were the best, Runestar's excluded. The idea after all is not to bring attention, and the best way to do that is to not be there, or at least not show that you...
If the protein update is on 15OCT02, should you let the machines rest a bit untill then, or will the structures generated in between do some good?

or just install 'screen'.... run screen, start script and then ^AD to detach... run screen -R to re-attach an instance (add one of the numbers of those reported, if you are running multiple screens)....
Ok, I think I'm up to speed now, still favor Scoofy's idea though. :)
I guess (just a loud thought as a confirmation... making sure I got it right) as Howard would not give out any info one can...
Mmmmm... right.
This probably sound weird, very weird to some:
but there are those that would like to recieve as little attention possible... and not necessarily due to running on computers for which they do not...
Aha, thanks!
Eeeeh, why am I getting results way better than other machines reported on that thread?!
