I'll second the 2500+ Barton recommendation. Mine is also running at 3200+ speeds with no change in voltage and 43 C with the retail HSF. In fact, it hasn't shown the slightest issue with the O/C...

Congratulations! :|party|: Best of luck to you and the happy bride.
That's good news, Howard. Thanks a ton!
I've just started working on O/C'ing a Barton 2500+. I've gotten it to 11x187 (2057 MHz - almost the same as a 3000+/400 FSB chip) without incident, with the retail sink and stock voltage. MBM...
As of the 6:00 PM EST update, 282 active out of 339 for the DPC, and 3,286,617 for the update (yea, I know it's only one and all, but...) and only 166,509 of those from MrMr. Also, they're not too...
Absolutely true, FoBoT :harhar: -- but that can work both ways. I'm really curious to see what the new protein will be like. I guess I won't have to wait much longer, since we're due for...
Ok, so if two trains leave Boston at the same time -- one going north, and one going south...oh, nevermind. :p
But, if the DPC's could produce a delta of 5 meelion per update, and maintain it...
I'm glad someone else was watching that, as it was a good little battle (and not finished, I might add). My XP 2000 and sneaker-netted Duron 700 just couldn't match rofn's increased production...
Woohoo! That means more production for the project then. If they want to try and run us down, then I say bring it on. Challenge is good! :hifi:
Great update Fozzie, as always - the Free-DC top...
Curiosity begins to fill the air. I'm suprised we haven't heard anything yet, since we're scheduled for a change on the 7th, at the current rate. And of course, there is the $64,000 question (Isn't...
Pretty impressive, 4.277 mil in that dump, just under what they average for a day. I'd say they synchronized their efforts very nicely. Hats off to them.
That said, with all our heavy...
...that quote was from Chinasaur, not A99. :p
Great story too. It has been some time since I'd seen it, but it's always funny.
Scary, isn't it? :D

I must be mis-reading something then, or something is seriously amiss. :P
Soon enough, I'm sure. In fact, whenever it happens, it will be too soon. :P In fact, if rofn can come up with a...
By now, the new year is being celebrated across the US, and you mates across the pond are likely well into your hangover, so I wanted to take a minute and wish everyone a happy, prosperous new year. ...
Hey Captain,
If you decide that it is the chip, or you just want an XP 2000+ (at sub-pricewatch price), let me know. I've got it in an A7N8X right now, and it has been flawless (never...
Well, that's interesting. All I'll say is that I had no such luck. If I had gotten double credit, I'd certainly post it, since 2 x squat is still pretty much squat. :p
I won't say that it...
Change the Structures per Generation # from 50 to 100, and all will be well. And yes, before you ask, we do get 100 points for gen. 0 now.
I dumped a couple with test and a couple with regular. At one point I had 5 diff. client directories on my system, messing with this stuff. In the process of cleaning up my system, I found...
If I'm not mistaken, 132 represents the client #, and not the size of the protein. We'll be working the same protein we have been, in order to examine the effects of a new algorithm.
I actually dumped that particular client with my auto-update. Previous to that, I had downloaded a new (post-update) client, I ran a few gens, waited for the scoring, saw that it was 100* factor,...
No need to worry, Grumpy. I was forced to nonet status for a day or so, and no bonus here. Mine were scored with the 50* factor.
It appears to have already, Grumpy. I uploaded gen 0, 1, 2, and 3 to check it and found myself with 514 more points.
And yes, that means we're getting 100 for gen. 0 as well.
Doc,
Does this mean that generations run under the first beta client could not be uploaded after the update occurs? Well, I mean they can be uploaded, but if doing so provides no help (from a...
