    Thumbs up Nice out PY!

Geeze... I go over to XS.org to help them out for a bit and then you put the throttle down.

What kind of output has FDC sustained in the past? Is 1,000,000pts/day a good goal for XS to shoot for? Or has that been done before? I personally wouldn't mind settling into the #2 position behind FDC, but you know those XS guys.

    Again, nice output!

So, this XS Jeff is you eh.

I've only just redeployed the 0.4.3b DIMES client to all my machines and it seems like they are doing ok.

The reason why we've been having such a low output in the past was because of the ICMP bug that kept on closing the client when ICMP traffic was being passed on to the client. Now with the new client, it seems like the bug is gone and Free-DC will once again run this at full speed.

I laughed a lot when i read that think they can catch us.
In fact they seem convinced of it

The new client is much better.
I can run it now on my 2k3 and XP sp2 boxes.
With the previous version it only ran about 30 mins on the above.

Well my output has been a little low because of installing and playing with new machines. I also dropped in a new Cisco router but as the IOS and config files were from the older version, I had to hand rewrite all the config to let the virtual machines connect as some old addresses were causing a blockage.......and, of course, in the rush to get it going, I forgot to run the ICMP install command and parameters..... so that was all a bit of sweaty brow stuff which I`m not used to anymore.
Should be hunky dory now and another machine on the way soon but really!!! They think they can sneak by us Jeff? HA and HA again.
Like an ol` 8086, slow but serviceable.

At the height of popularity... what kind of production has FDC sustained in DIMES? Just curious really.

Been meaning to ask you PY... how do you only have 10 agent ids? I assume you are crunching loads of machines on each id. I have tried this in the past and it just won't work for me. How are you doing it if you don't mind me asking?

When I install an agent in the past, I choose "I already had an Agent installed on this machine in the past" or something along those lines. Then I choose one of my 10 Agents in the list. This works for me and it should as I don't do anything special.

Maybe you could try it out again and if it fails, you can let the Project Admins at DIMES about this.

The one thing you have to watch out for:
Linux id's only work with linux installs
Windows id's only work with windows installs
