    SIMAP@Home Latest Info

    According to this post:

    http://boinc.bio.wzw.tum.de/boincsim...wtopic.php?t=5

    1) Workunits will be 1-2 MB in size
    2) Take ~2 hours to compute
    3) Results will be 2-4 MB

They won't be reducing the size of the workunits but are trying to compress the size of the results files.

Guess I'll be pointing my modem at something else

I just looked at my AMD64 3000, and it has 2 SIMAP wu's queued, with the time on one at 5.55 (with 2.18 already run) and the other at a little over 6 hrs to complete, so I guess yours is in line in mine.
I haven't looked at return result sizes.

The WUs I've run are in the order of 6-7 hours too (on an Athlon XP 3200). I've disabled SIMAP for now though - too many WUs are being cancelled because they won't fix the missing library bug. It's a waste of my time to return successful WUs only to have them cancelled because there's too many clients out there failing.

And it's a trivially easy bug for the admins to fix too - surprised it's taking so long.

A lot of my WU's ended up with zero points because of all the bad results.
Best avoided till they sort it out.

According to Alex@Simap, zero credit wu's fromm "too many errors", will be credited.

Good news: skipped wu's - zero credits - get the claimed credit. Please be patient
