I need asap a DUAL MB for 2 older Athlon 2.2XP processors I have molded into MP's....

I have found this but I dont know if its really worth the $$

Tyan Thunder K7 S2462 eATX MotherBoard

Supports Dual AMD ATHLON MP Socket 462 Cpu's

Supports upto 4 GB of DDR RAM
    $120.00 they asking..

Never ran or used Tyan MB's before.
    Anyone use them?

Or do you have something laying around you want to get rid of?

Never had one, but Tyan mobos are supposed to be very reliable and stable.

Only thing they are lacking are a lot of options for overclocking...

    Just my .2cents..

I havent really dabbled into the overclocking. I should one of these days, but temp is too much of a concern here.....

So $120.00 isnt a bad price. (its new never used)

Asus A7M266-D is the way I went after trying and building for a lot of people most of the boards available.
Watch out for earlier type Tyans as the oc`ing is nil and they had to have MPs.
MSI can be clocked but limit is around XP2800.
Asus has last beta bios which seems to keep pci clock stable and allows up to 150Mhz fsb depending on pci cards used. Can use XPs in that board, just short the last L5 with silver paint, doesn`t matter about insulating the cut.
If you want a copy of the bios just PM me.
Also look here for setting the multi, but forget Tyan for this.

It`s quite easy to do using either solder, paint or wire in the socket/cpu pins.
Like an ol` 8086, slow but serviceable.
One advantage of old age...nobody can tell you how much cake you can eat
