Thread: Signature Stats

    Signature Stats

    Just for the fun of it since I was bored, I decided to code a php script to take a user's stats from their public profile and slap it onto an image.

    The image looks like this (this one goes to my stats, the user ID can be changed from within the PHP script):

    <removed>

    However, everytime it's requested it'll read the profile page and request the stats. I was wondering if the project team want to take the source script and then change it for better usage.

    Source code attached.

    If you want the background image to go with it, you can find it at http://www.razorstudios.org/images/sb/17orbust.png.

    If it isn't needed or no one wants it, Matt, would you be able to let me know if it sucks too much bandwidth being used on this website and on the Team Picard website? If so let me know, and I'll have to work an extra day (instead of 30 minutes) to use MySQL.

    As opposed to verified ranges etc I'd simply use the amount completed in G and factors found.

    Completed G
    Factors found

    # of Ranges don't really mean much since some people reserved more than others and the number of factors is really all that matters. The nice thing about sieve, you can spend a day not finding a factor then all of a sudden you find 3 within a few hours.

    Most of the info can be found here, for a particular user change the userID

    I'm not going to bother with it. I don't think I'm going to continue with this side-project - there's too much hassle involved that has already caused me to make 2 mistakes while submitting.

    I totally hear you have you checked out mikes pages?

    http://www.aooq73.dsl.pipex.com/2006/scores_p.htm

    There is alot of great information and stats there only problem in the ranges, ranges seem to be the most difficult thing to handle. Even Mike has somewhat given up on keeping track.

    Joe and myself are trying our best to check whats done/complete/pending. Joe has some great programs for checking peoples work etc but to say its frustrating is an understatement we basically do something manual a couple times a year...
