Prodding has occurred. Fixing will hopefully follow.

Prodding helped the stats update but now the client sleeps.

I think it was just a hiccup. Everything looks OK now.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ for awhile it seems like.

Luckily BOINC is set to a lower Priority.

Edit: and while I'm staring at the Task Manager, EON starts up again.

Nothing wrong on my side. If you check the script log, it will show that I download the raw data and parse it but it hasn't changed compared with what is in the DB..

Methinks that Graeme and Omer, the two head nuts on this project, must be on vacation. I've signalled a couple of times and got no responses yet. At least, when this has happened in the past, the stats either were being saved somewhere or could be reconstructed. Sure hope that applies this time, 'cause I've been piling up the points!

    Hurry back, Graeme!

I emailed him also as the stats haven't updated since the 28th and for awile there I was pumping out over 8000 work units a day.

It appears they updated once today and now they're down again.

Yup. As I/we suspected, Graeme was (actually still is) out of town. He dialed in today to fix things up. He'll be back in Austin next week.

Me smiling! Backed-up points now put me ahead of Fobot!

Yeah, but it comes and goes. That's normal for this client. It's better if ya just turn off yer monitor and... :sleepy:

Would it be possible to get a few more people to email Graeme so we can get the stats working again, I emailed him on Monday but it appears no attempt was made to kick the server back to life.

If everyone stopped doing anything for the project, I'd bet they would be more attentative to their servers

    Angry

It's just a shame, people like you and me run this project for them and it costs me a gret deal of money every month yet they won't make any attempt at keeping the project or stats running properly.

Here's what it says on their webpage.

"Aug 4,2006: Thanks for your emails. I've been out of town and am just getting this back to how they should be. All stats from the past few days will be caught up now, and will continue to accumulate properly."

What do they mean by accumulate properly? They ran for a day and have been down again since the 5th of August. This project is being run from a college, there must be some student there that is interested in a degree in computers that could get their computers running properly.

Looks like there was some movement again today. Though most of the work I've done over the past week has not been registered. Only about 10%.

I've said this before, and I'll repeat it All you have to do is find a project that that Eon can dominate if put at a higher priority, and where expired units don't matter, put it at low priority, put Eon at Above_Normal, and no cpu will be wasted.

Yeah but that doesn't give me back the 2500 or so points for the work I did last weekend. Still no sign of those credits being added. I would thus recommend to everyone to stop the clients if the stats are not updating.
