I dont know myself. Maybe playing with Server* in the sclient.conf file works? Here's what it says:

    # The address of the SB server to connect to. You shouldn't
    # need to change this unless you're doing something incredibly
    # unauthorized with our client! (Or if you're using a proxy.)
    #
    # Currently a ServerAddress of sbp.pns.net along with either
    # ServerPort 80 or ServerPort 22 will allow you to go around
    # most packet filtering firewalls. Try these if you experience
    # difficulty connecting.
    ServerAddress sb.pns.net
    ServerPort 1717

    -----------
PS a reminder under linux to cd to your sb dir prior to running "./sb sclient.conf" so that it will locate the created "cache" and "znnnnnnnn" files upon subsequent startups and continue where it left off.

Sounds like a plan! Let me know when you might be coming down and I'll let everyone know when I get moved into my new place.

I got sbqueue running on my desktop through a ssh tunnel to my home web server which points forwards it to the sob servers. Now I just have to install it in our lab on a linux system to relay to my desktop. I take it sob isn't smp ready?

I have it installed on my core 2 duo 2.4 desktop and a 2.3Ghz dual proc dual core xeon woodcrest system. The quad core (2 x 2) xeon system was getting 140 Mnodes/sec on OGR.

Too bad the Linux client is a little more of a pain for dual core. But I think I can script it. Now to just get time to install the new servers.

    Guru,

what kind of rates are you getting?

I dont think you have joined the team yet either. You have to login on the Sob website to do this. The team field on the client does not do anyhing..

I'm moving to Phoenix, AZ. in a week, so I have to pull ~40GHz worth of pharmage offline for an indefinate period of time.
As the SOB work units finish up, I'm moving them over to DPAD until I'm ready to box them up (soon) so there is no loss of points for unfinished work at the end of 30 days.
I'm hoping to be offline no longer than 3 months, but that depends on the housing market and how long it takes me to sell my current residence and get into the next one.

I'm still waiting on my email with my password to login. My mail server has been rejecting the email because the IP address of their mail server doesn't resolve to teh seventeenorbust.com domain. I fixed it on my end so it should be very soon. Since guru was taken I decided to use my gaming alias "SpeedRaider" for this account. To check on my progress visit http://www.seventeenorbust.com/stats...l?userID=11877. So far I have my home 3.6G core 2 duo, my work 2.4G C2D, a 2.4G amd 64, and a 2.3G dual proc dual core xeon C2D. I started last night at around 8:30 so I haven't been crunching very long.

    OK Anandtech will be roadkill

    tomorrow before close of business.

Then we have the real work to get after the Cows.

Now I know we were kind of looking at Oct 25th as a watershed to maybe have a look at other things, but the Cows have foiled our carefully managed scenario.

PCZ and IB will be reducing output due to real world factors. Some others will be turning to other projects.

I will keep my boxen on SoB until DPC are eating Free DC trail dust. Now I don't know how you guys are fixed for this. The Waht are your intentions poll seemed to suggest many were on board until we had some Cow steaks.

So let's aim for November 5th at best for a Guy Fawkes banquet.
