Talking Does this really work on SMP

As the title says, does this work by running from two folders? As it writes back to the same in the op system folder. Just wondering.

Are both instances doing the same work??

    My thoughts as well

I have it running on one SMP box at the moment but am unable to assertain if the 2 instances are both doing the same work, different work, both getting credit etc.
I think i'll stick to UNI processor or running a single instance for the time being.

Doing some quick maths i would say assuming that you are only running the boxes mentioned earlier in this thread, that you must be getting credit for all the instances of the client you are running.

    BTW
    Nice scores.

I was under the impression that the client doesn't download work units per se. I imagined that it is simply running through a loop of code to simulate the tosses. In which case, running two copies in different folders should be fine.

    Maybe I missed something?

Edit: Just remembered, it is advertised as requiring a permanent internet connection so maybe you guys are right.

It might not matter we aren't sure.
Using different folders won't help anyways as the files it does create go in
    the windows directory.

So it might not be a problem at all.
