What does it do?

It allows you to directly embed videos into the post so that you see the opening shot and just have to click on to watch it. You never leave the forum to watch it. Look here at the bottom of the page.

The video doesn't get uploaded to the forum, it just embeds the player in the forum post. The video would still come from YouTube or whatever the video provider was so no extra bandwidth from FreeDC needed.

I've never seen more than 20 people on here so I don't see where the bandwidth is an issue. OK it could be if someone was still using dial up but they should not be trying to watch videos anyway.
