    changing mobo with Win XP

I may try to upgrade my main windows box with the quadcore. It's currently got an X2 4200+ with an Asus P5B SLi mobo in it.

Any pitfalls to look for ? I think I just remove the motherboard drivers, boot up with the XP disk and do a repair ? Then probably have to get a new key from MS?

On an aside, I just got back from NY and thought I'd open up my box with the quadcore in, seems there is no heatsink

So I went ahead and ordered on of Peltier Coolers

Not tried one before but I'm hoping it'll keep things fairly cool!

Install drivers for new mobo first, then shutdown and do the swap out.
    Have fun!

    Hey Bok,
Is it 64bit XP or 32bit? I have both. Call me.

XP activation is pretty lenient when swapping hardware. I have moved my XP license to 4-5 computers and only had to call Microsoft once. I had no problem getting an activation code from them (they don't give you a new serial).
