    lost proth test-->vista??

    Hi,
I lost a test yesterday on my vista machine, however the tutorial doesn't work for vista. The "cache", subfolder of "sob" in the registry doesn't contain anything... The only subfolder which contains anything is the "config" subfolder. Can this be due to the fact that my second test is already at 4%?

Does anyone have a solution for me? I still have the z####### file of my first test.

    Hi Anandtech friend

How many clients are you running and is it installed as a service?

If you still have the z..... file all is not lost
Alas poor Borg, I knew it Horatio

    Tom

The registry settings are in a different place in vista.
I have one PC running vista64 and run sob in XP SP2 compatability mode.
    The registry keys are in
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LhDn.

    Search your registry for lhdn.

When you find the registry keys edit Special handling, make it a 1.
Sob will stop when it's finished your current WU.
You can then edit the cache settings to start work on your part done WU assuming you still have the z file.

I'm running 1 client, no installed as a service.

I found this directory, but it's still empty...

the same thing now happened on a win xp computer: i look in the right directory, but it's empty. So I created the missing files and it worked!

could anyone please add this to the FAQ I'm sure I'm not the only person to encounter this problem.

    You mean this? http://www.free-dc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7434

The bigger issue is that it seems we do not have an SMP capable Vista client. Is LLR smp Vista capable?
