To answer Jkusuda, Adblock Plus neatly takes those annoying Dinoparc ads right OUT.

As to the thingy, I was wondering the same thing.

I have a bad feeling about the nextnuke value.

Maybe once it approaches 0, the whole City will get nuked and we will have to start from scratch.

    Then again..... maybe not.

I just built a summer house next to those mountains in the southeast. All I need now is to build some roads so I can get out there!

I have occasionally had brief delays on both sites, early morning and late evening. Other than that, it's OK.

Looks like they've got a bunch of people who keep mindlessly chiming in with new residents, but nobody looking for what's needed. It may self-destruct shortly.

I made a bookmark file with my favorites, with each one ending in /xml. That way I find out what they need. When the xml listing pops up, I just replace the /xml with /env or /tra or whatever.

Not very automated of me, I know. Someone (Ironbits ) will likely chime in with a neat little script that he's worked out to do it all automatically. I have fun doing it manually.

When in doubt, I'll give 'em a /tra. Ain't no substitute for good roads!

my "solution" seems to be more automated:
on a local webserver is a php script, which fetches the /xml from the currently requested city and calculates, what that city needs (+tra, +ind, ...) and creates a link for that, which I open in a new tab in Firefox to reply something in the newsbulletin...

I'm confused. Is there some other aspect to this 'game' other than growing the city?

I'm mostly trying to figure out how to actually 'play' the game. How do you know when you need more X? How does the city grow, etc?

Why not simply visit http://free-dc.myminicity.com/xml to check and see what's needed, then go to the link for the most needed resource?

Can you zip/tar it up and make it an attachment?
Doesn't work if you just copy / paste it into the body of the message.
    Thanks!

I think many people have been clicking on the image/link on the old stats page which is very hand, but has only ever been set to +ind. This could have led to the imbalance that existed a few weeks ago.

Perhaps a little scripty could nab the xml and change the linky destination to whatever the city needs most? (kinda like the-mk's suggestion)

    Just thinking aloud
