    Just a Question

I just put a matched set of ram in the X2 and started running it in dual channel mode.My question is, will it make any difference whether I run it dual channel,or should I use the whole 1 gig in single channel?

dual channel is always faster/better than single channel.

Dual channel is always faster than single channel, in mobos that support it.

Some older and some cheaper mobos will see no advantage. Most newer, high quality mobos support dual channel. Whether it will is almost always listed somewhere in the specs.

In some mobos, it's automatically switched. If yours has an option, definitely enable dual channel mode. Having matched RAM is not absolutely necessary in most cases, but it's a good idea.
