yes. We were talking about new tags on friday. I want to create a set to allow for different views / data.

This is a good idea, I hadn't thought about those..Easy enough.

You have it posted ( Most 100k Scores (>7 for inclusion) )

I think you need to change it from 7 to 8 now

You think I should limit it to only those with more than 8 100k's rather than 7 ??

I see you only need one more as it stands to be included

You are ahead of me on the 500K list

No you misunderstand the 100 K list Now only go's to 8's
So you need 8 100K's to be listed there No 7 as you have it posted
Most 100K Scores(>7 for inclusion) Needs to be > Most 100K Scores(>8 for inclusion)
Or provide more Pages to allow the 7's holders to be listed Or Not

Well think about it is says "> 7 for inclusion"...
Well 8 is 1 more than 7 so it's right if we did that
"Most 100k Scores (>7 for inclusion)" would need to read
"Most 100k Scores (>=8 for inclusion)"
Now what looks better, Mr Picky!

yay, this has taken sooooo long!!

  10. #50
I don't know how you did that. I have tried to get ufluids to run, but I get a couple of completed WUs then it freezes and screws up my machine.

That is one big ass milestone, Bok. Excellent job!!

It's basically bad when you have more than 2 instances running on a machine, so a quadcore is really hardwork (therefore you are going to struggle!!!)..You have to end up downloading a bunch of units, suspend all but one and let it run through, then unsuspend each at a time..PIA. And with it being windows only, I ended up doing most of the work on a couple of dualcores I have that are XP..

Glad it's done though.. Now if only Ralph@Home will give out enough work to get up there

Couldn't you have just adjusted the BOINC preferences on each machine running it to only use one core? It's a per-machine preference, so you don't have to change your general settings for it to take effect.

    Oh, and congrats.

but it's not a per-project preference.. so the other cores would have been idle, unless I used them up otherwise.

I didn't do it too much anyway, as I said I just used the dualcores instead. Took longer, but got there in the end

uFluids is a hard one! The more cores it runs on at once, the slower it goes, squared. So the key is to run it on only dual core machines. Or if you have to run it on a quad or ocho, you have to make sure your resource share is very small...

Edit: D'oh! Didn't see that there was a whole next page of comments when I posted. I see my brilliant insight was not quite so unique....

I think I got it from one of your posts originally

Speaking of Superlink@technion and ufluids, why aren't they listed alphabetically on my stats page, instead they are both at the bottom.

    ps. nice job btw.

You mean on usermain rather than on the userbycpid.php (where is is ordered by score...)

It's because they begin with a lower case letter. I've altered this. It should update soon..

I know I broke them yesterday.. (I added a new column to the table to allow me to order the list by milestone size... for the new signature I have working ... )

But I fixed them, they all seem to work for me now ?

Please tell me you are not using the one on stats4....

    the real one

is working fine.. I've just ran through all of them and they are all working for me..

stats4 is broken and will not be fixed. It's old code and will be switched off this week perhaps.

With the server upgrade, he added the "Run test applications", so be sure to turn that on.

OK Thanks Bok. My Predictor@Home isn't showing up in in Boinc Stats. Can you run them one more time to see if it'll be picked up?

Actally, first I may have misunderstood your previous question. The 10K, 100K etc is ONLY for boinc projects but will include all boinc projects including archived.

As for Predictor, it looks like you have a different cross-project ID in Predictor. Did you use a different email address perhaps?

Of course with no way to change it now that Predictor is dead, I'd be happy to fix it for you within my database.

Let me know if that's what you want...

    Bok

p.s.I found it by doing a search

  38. #78
    OK. That'll work.

It was one of the projects that I had see-sawing with. I fixed it, now and that's why I was wondering if an update would fix it in this database. It' the right CPID on the Predictor site now (Cross-project ID: b65b36154e3a49f636a3148d4e0b3c83). I attached again after BOINCManager detached me. Now it's ok.

Changing it in database will work if it's ok with you. no hurry, just whem you have extra time

    Thanks

    Bill

    Done.

Please note that if Predictor ever comes back and updates their xml it will overwrite any changes...Doesn't look likely though!

    Bok

Thanks Bok. It's in there now.

It doesn't seem to be inactive. Before it wasn't showing the updates when computers were connecting. Now, it's updating them and I was able to change my CPID to the correct one, there a couple of days ago.
