It's slower, by quite a bit.
Does it support more then video 1 card in the same box?
Oh, and the obligitory linkage of course.

New one out for linux, linux-64, and windows. Be sure and run the -bench to check which core is best for your setup.

did you run ./dnetc -bench ?? There is a bug in this one on some cards that it defaults to core 0, when in fact others are faster. In my case on a BFG GTX260 it defaulted to core 0 which was much slower than core 7.... core 0 = 425,993,354 and core 7 = 454,212,648 under ubuntu-64 8.10. I am getting the same time per unit completion rate as I was under the beta2 client on all my cards (only one is a BFG GTX260). I haven't tried anything under windows so I can't provide any info there.
8800 GTX Shaders @ 1782, Server 08' 64bit (modified) = approx 382-384Mkeys/s. As fast or maybe slightly faster than last one. manually selected core also. Core #6 IIRC. What will make the diff is the 64block WU's now that have less I/O to slow the client down.
PS: Nice new smilies Bok. Jus noticed them now.
I'm getting only 1 point credit for a cuda unit that I should be getting 64 points credit for. Theres alot of us that are having this problem.
Does anyone know where to report this so it can be fixed?
Thanks
hmmm. Interesting. Where are you getting your statistics from? I did notice yesterday i got a lot less than I would expect but not 1/64. Maybe 20-30% but I would have presumed this was a stats glitch. In 2 hours form now there will be todays stats run. Lets hope its resolved then.
In the client is says OUT-Buffer=1 and Stats Units=64.00, so thats 64 points for 1 completed unit.
I completed 136 units yesterday but only got 136 points.
The day before the units were smaller and only worth 1 point each but yesterday they rolled out these new 64 point units that take much longer to complete.

So tonight after the RC5-72 points update I go look and see what I hauled in today and what do you know - nodda, goose egg, 0.
24 hours of running the DNet Cuda v2.9103.509 (beta) and many many results turned in and I got 0 points.
I revieved an E-mail back from the admins of Dnet.

Hi,
We have discovered that there is a bug in our stats tabulation code. The code we have counts each packet as one unit for stats purposes. We will be correcting the bug and re-tabulating the affected logs shortly.
Kind regards,
Mike"
Thanks for the info Razor.
That had me perplexed for an hour or two.

After there site said they we doing some stats database repair, our team has lost the last 10 days worth of our points.
Thats crazy!
http://stats.distributed.net/team/tm...d=8&team=24958
they are rebuilding the database as they rescan the points for the last batch of days cause there has been large work units being added for several days in the beta testing. When I first looked the last day was 22jan, then a bit later it was 23 jan, so the points will all get back.
This is a perfect opportunity to recommend the purchase of another copy of THHGTTG which offers this sound advice: "Don't Panic"
In many of the more relaxed civilizations on the Outer Eastern
Rim of the Galaxy, the Hitch Hiker's Guide has already supplanted
the great Encyclopedia Galactica as the standard repository of
all knowledge and wisdom, for though it has many omissions and
contains much that is apocryphal, or at least wildly inaccurate,
it scores over the older, more pedestrian work in two important
respects.
First, it is slightly cheaper; and secondly it has the words
Don't Panic inscribed in large friendly letters on its cover.

Looks like all the points are back. Crysis over.
Thanks everyone for your help and advice.
[x86/CUDA] v2.9103.509 (beta3) 2009-02-01
*** This BETA release expires in 24.21:01:00.00. ***
If you run dual or more CUDA cards, I've been told you can use -multiok=1 to allow it to use more than one at a time...
Reading the -help file it says this
-multiok[=|:][0|1] allow/disallow multiple instances of the client to run. The default is 'allow' for all platforms but Windows.
I'm not convinced it does...
GTX295
dnetc -bench
RC5-72: Benchmark for core #7 (CUDA 4-pipe 128-thd)
0.00:00:08.54 [508,408,030 keys/sec]
(I find the real world out put to be close to 395,000,000 keys/sec)
Also, if the pproxy server you are using has been upgraded to the beta version, it will hand out LARGE work units so you don't have to go back to the server so often.
I changed mine to the default proxy server and picked up one worth 64 stats units.
With -multiok=1 I still see it finds only 1 cruncher
PHP Code:

you must run separate clients for gpu and cpu. and they are obviously different cliens.
-multiok only allows them to crunch simulateneously.
you must download two of them - cpu and gpu version.
install it in different dirs.
configure cpu, run it, check it to crunch right, then install and run it as service.
next run gpu client and check it to run right. use multiok.
I've got mutli GPU working.
Make sure at windows is setup to use at least one display for every card installed. My test setup I have a 9500GS and a 8800GTS. The primary display is on the 9500GS. I extended my desktop to one of the 8800 GTS outputs. I had to connect a monitor temporarily to get windows to allow the extension but I think it's only a vista issue. Once windows was using both cards I fired up a single dnetc client and it picked up both cards and started two crunchers.
Next attempt will be 4 crunchers. I'll post a pic when I get it working.
power consumption?
