    memory

    Can I mix a pair of DDR2 800MHz CL6 (2 x 2GB) with one pair of DDR2 800MHz CL5 (2 x 1GB)? My concern is the memory latency.
    Motherboard is Asus P5B.

Try it and see. It should work if you put the slower set in first, if not, try the other way around, but it should work.

    Thank you both.
I won't risk but as IB said it will work (google search).

If they are of the same type but just the CAS Latency that's different it will work fine, it will possibly take the the slower Latency time as default but if you have it set on Auto (Set by SPD) and they are not "mixed" as in 1 CL5 & 1 CL 6 in the same "pair" it should be fine, since it's paired ram, Dual Channel mode will work and they'll fly shouldn't really notice any difference.
Even if they were different clock rates the faster one would clock down to the slower one's speed.
