Thumbs up SIMAP April Workunits On Their Way

The guys at SIMAP have turned the tap on and the April workunits have started flowing (very slow right now, give it 5 hours or so to get up to speed).

New Workunits: the calculation of similarities and features of approx. 260.000 new sequences, that were imported from protein databases into SIMAP in March, will start in the evening (UTC) of March 31st.
    This means two things:
    • We have a brilliant chance to get into the top 40!
    • Petey will once again demonstrate how hopeless he is at estimating how long the work will last

I estimate 260,000 workunits will ONLY take 4-5 days to finish

    No more workunits left

Blink and you would have missed it.

It will take some days for all the work to be returned but I reckon we have gained at least 1 place, maybe even 2.

Great work by everyone (IB, pfb, Andy Brady, Alpha, Birdman)

Went a bit quick this time but they did have less to crunch this time round...

Wow, that was quick indeed. Barely got a sniff. Still chugging through a few, should at least gain a place within the team.

We are only 6,000 points behind team China. We should get past them at least. With no more new work we just have to wait and see how it pans out.
