    Question Whatcha crunchin'?

I'm turning BOINC on on a couple computers and was just curious what everyone is focusing on? I won't have any sizable output but I figure every little bit counts.

BTW, started testing Christmas lights this weekend.

    Have a good weekend all,
    Jeff

Good to see you again, was just thinking about you the other day..

your old favorite Chess960 is actually running

I've been concentrating on getting my Emerald badges on all the projects at World Community Grid.

Yeah, it seems like Chess960 is really churning out the work the past few days. I'm currently running that and POEM.

I'll have to check out the World Community Grid.

POEM, NQueens - although I think I'll stop that one, Spinhenge seems to really crank the units out sometimes
Not sure what else I wanna do, maybe go back to some I've signed up for previoiusly and crunch them again..

How is the FreeHAL client supposed to work? I downloaded it with Chess960 running and both of those work units stayed running and a FreeHAL work unit also started to run... but it's hardly using any of the CPU? I stopped the Chess960 units and FreeHAL still isn't using much of the CPU?

Is that all normal? I have a feeling I just don't understand what FreeHAL is doing.

It's just using a little bandwidth, no cpu so that's normal, much like DIMES.

It's not BOINC, but I'm still pushing with the Dual Sierpinski project.

Oh, and feeling guilty that I kinda dropped off the face of the planet for the last few months.

Really looking forward to putting all the lights up to be honest DP. Only kink in the Christmas light plan is I found out earlier this week I'm being sent to Temecula, CA for 2 weeks for work starting this Sunday. The plan was to start the roof lights next weekend so that puts me a week behind target... I know it sounds funny but there is just soo much to do I don't want to start off behind!

And it seems HAL@Home is out of work. Nice to see DC projects haven't changed much.

Also seems like the credit system is way behind... unless I'm not getting credit for some reason.

I think that's due to the HAL stats not updating the exported stats data.. or maybe Bok needs to give it a kick...

And that's what is showing on my stats, though the official stats show 1,946,447 at the time of writing.

No forums over there to prod them either...
