How do I join a team?

    Hi everybody,

I just joined the project a week ago.

So, how can I join a team, and how can I find out which is the right team for me? I didn't find anything about that on the homepage or faq...

To join a team, edit the sbclient.conf file. There is an entry in there for which team to be a part of.

As to which team to join, I have no advice

    Here come the recruitment pitches.

Here is a link to the page with stats for teams, you can see some team names there.

    http://www.seventeenorbust.com/stats/team.shtml

When you decide on a team, you join it by clicking on the "config" button in your client's GUI (open seventeen or bust and the little window that pops up).

Right below the line that says "Name" (where your name should be), there is a line for "team." Just enter the name of the team you want to join (make sure to type it just like you see it on the Seventeen or Bust stats page) and then click "save."

It is pretty easy, just enter the team you want to join.

Atleast, I think that should work.

I don't know what happens if you enter the same username but a different team on two different computers. But enter it all the same and it should be ok. I think.

Since you are German you might check out the team Rechenkraft. They are good guys.

Or you might check out the Free-DC team, they host this forum:

    http://www.seventeenorbust.com/stats...eamname=FreeDC

OR (and you had to see this coming) you could join TeamPrimeRib, who just so happen to be ranked #1 and have a lot of members from around the world:

    Team web page at: www.teamprimerib/sob/

    =)

Welcome to the project and I hope this helped.

Bad decision, othello! Rechenkraft would have been a *much* better one.

Hm, othello... Do you play it?

    Othello:

Rechenkraft has been around for a long time. They are always competitive in whichever project they run. Good people.

I am on Team Prime Rib

AFAIK it's not possible at this time. But I guess it will be in the new webpage which should be online today...

Well, at least sort of victory.
When you feel comfortable, you're always welcome to change teams in other projects, too.
