    Wieferich@Home

Since I was unable to make a thread in the DC area, I will start here.

I noticed that Free-DC has very little points in this project. It is easy to see that a little effort could move us quite a bit higher in the Math Category of the DC Vault. Perhaps even move us up a position or two overall.

I dedicated a quad core to this effort. I'm hoping someone else might join us.

    edit- damn I can't spell

Good luck. It is a very low scoring project. I ran it for a while and it really put a dent in my BOINC progress for a while.

Didn't I read that the code used is highly inefficient as well and that someone over at Mersenne had code that was 10x faster but Wieferich did not want it.. can't seem to find the link right now though.

True, all true. But if I don't put the quad on Wieferich, I have to sell it.
