Predictions are often wrong. Like mine on the thread:

Looks like many of us were over-optimistic on that poll! Still, these sorts of discoveries don't tend to be spaced out evenly. Look at Mersenne primes, discovered at n=756839, n=859433, n=1257787, and at n=1398269. But then the next two didn't show up until n=2976221 and n=3021377. If this problem is similar, we can look forward to a couple more primes around 3 million. But I'm not making a prediction!

On the other hand, I did estimate 700,000 numbers left in the sieve for n=3,000,000-20,000,000 by time we hit 200T, and I wasn't too far off. But predicting climate is much easier than predicting weather!
