    Who recieved the first 3M+ test?

    I noticed that some 3M+ tests have been distributed, and now I'm a bit curious to see who got the first one. I guess they're distributed in numerical order, so the number closest to 3M should be the first..

    I received 3007926 about 6 hours ago, and I'm pretty sure I wasn't the first one to receive a 3M+ number...

    Anyone else got an "earlier" 3M+ number?

    There are already, as of now, reported back results for n above 3M. My first first number above 3M was recieved by my K6-III 450MHz, which will probably check out the number within a couple of weeks.

    I've got 3005309 on one machine.

    It was picked up around 23 hours ago...

    My father's P3-933 is working on a 55459/3000730 workunit now. I haven't checked most of my machines, but somehow I think that a value of (n mod 3000000) < 1000 will be the lowest of the lot.

    EDIT: I should say "of the lot of my computers."

    Unless a factor has been found for one of the following which is not in my sob.dat file, the lowest few should be:

    interesting questions.

    it just so happens, that I now know the answers:

    bwhite was first to be assigned a test n > 3M

    he was assigned
    k=5359
    n=3000006
    at 1:58:11 GMT, March 1
    he finished March 3 @ 20:00:23


    however, 24 tests later, kenlow was assigned what would become the first test to finish for n > 3M
    he was assigned
    k = 55459
    n = 3000586
    at 2:48:38GMT, March 1st.
    which he finished March 1 @ 22:25:15GMT

    Incidently, both are members of TeamPrimeRib. Go TPR.

    EDIT: bwhite is actually on AMDusers. The team id's for those teams are similar.

    And it might bear noting that the currently third-largest known prime is
    2^3021377-1, i.e. "n" exponents larger than 3021374 or so will yield one of the three largest primes (if they yield primes at all) since SOB gains a few extra digits from the k factor...

    I noticed that my client was stuck on 100% for the last several hours. I hope it continues. I see a few others on my team are stuck also.

    It's n is 3011306, with 36 blocks remaining.

    Lagardo - good point. yeah, the numbers being handed out from this point on are all larger than the 3rd largest prime. The next real milestone in size will be when the numbers become larger than n=3321928 or so which will mean the numbers are over 1 million digits long too.

    This loops back to MAD-ness and Nuris's suggestion in the Size of next rime found thread. It would be interesting to see the size of the largest proth number currently being tested, on the stats page. Not exactly if that is difficult to do, but at least give us an idea. Maybe also list the sizes of the largest primes found so that we know when these milestones possibly are be passed.
