    Sneakernet

Can it be done with DF.

Is there a nice faq about it or due to the nature of the project like f@h data has to be back within a certain time frame?

Yes, one of my teammates sneakernets and he says he copies
All of the "fond_userid_number_protein.log.bz2" and "userid_protein_number.val.bz2" files and the filelist.txt over to the machine that has the internet connection. He usually uploads about once a week.

I posted some directions for sneaker-netting in your thread over at the Ars forums.

Hope that helps, I am not the best technical writer that ever lived.

dfQ is good for sneaker-netting. It's currently in beta, though.

    Thanks

Thanks for the link I will check it out. Yeah I was thinking of writing my own .Net enabled sneaker-net. I can get to my target boxes over the LAN and have full control of them I just don’t want 10 boxes accessing the internet all the time.

I thought it might be fun to try out some new .Net stuff with this project. I just need to figure how to use my Lego Mindstorm with this and I will be in business =).
