Password problems ?
The other day I did a clean install. When trying to get back on the project it didn't take my password so I got a new one from the site and then set it to my password.
Then last night this happened (while I was sleeping);
[Sat Mar 15 04:22:12 2003] logging into server
[Sat Mar 15 04:22:28 2003] login successful
[Sat Mar 15 04:22:29 2003] n.high = 1752940 . 57 blocks left in test
[Sat Mar 15 04:31:51 2003] logging into server
[Sat Mar 15 04:31:51 2003] login unsuccessful -- check your username
[Sat Mar 15 04:40:53 2003] logging into server
[Sat Mar 15 04:41:16 2003] login successful
[Sat Mar 15 04:41:16 2003] server had no record of proth test
[Sat Mar 15 04:41:16 2003] connecting to server
[Sat Mar 15 04:41:17 2003] logging into server
[Sat Mar 15 04:41:38 2003] couldn't report to server [report denied], retry in 1200 secs [error: -3]
(the log time is MY time I think, Netherlands).
The errors (last lines repeating) continued for HOURS.
I had a problem once before when a block got stuck at 100 % and there was nothing happening.
Is it me (my PC) or is there a technical hitch with the program / server ?

Happening to me intermittently
I noticed that this is also happening to my client, but strangely, it happens only once every 5-10 logins! That is:
[Sun Sep 7 04:38:15 2003] logging into server
[Sun Sep 7 04:38:15 2003] login successful
[Sun Sep 7 04:38:15 2003] n.high = 89978 . 337 blocks left in test
[Sun Sep 7 04:38:18 2003] iteration: 90000/4410040 (2.04%) k = 28433 n = 4410025
[Sun Sep 7 04:59:09 2003] iteration: 100000/4410040 (2.27%) k = 28433 n = 4410025
[Sun Sep 7 05:05:04 2003] logging into server
[Sun Sep 7 05:05:04 2003] login successful
[Sun Sep 7 05:05:05 2003] n.high = 102832 . 336 blocks left in test
[Sun Sep 7 05:20:02 2003] iteration: 110000/4410040 (2.49%) k = 28433 n = 4410025
[Sun Sep 7 05:31:54 2003] logging into server
[Sun Sep 7 05:32:14 2003] login unsuccessful -- check your username
The password of course does not change from one instance to the next. Is there a problem with the server's password checking? or is it just a matter of load?
