PRERELEASE!!
I didn't feel any speed improvment to version 499 on 32 Bit Windows platform when benching OGR-P2...

Info regarding the prerelease client.Originally Posted by the-mk
client v2.9008 contain support for phase 2 of the OGR (aka OGRp2) project. Please keep these items in mind when running one of these versions. Be sure not to do any RC5-72 with these through Bok's server unless he updates it.
* These clients communicate with the DNS address *.v29.distributed.net.
* These v2.9008 clients can only send/receive OGRp2 packets when communicating with a proxy of build 341 or higher. Clients will still be able to do "OGR classic" and RC5-72 packets if communicating with a proxy of build 330 or higher.
* Proxies build 335 or higher will only communicate to clients v2.8015.469 or higher. Proxies build 341 or higher will only communicate to upstream servers also of build 341 or higher.
* All RC5-72 workunits are now of size 2^32. The client currently does not allow the selection of larger sized workunits, though we will re-introduce this functionality at a later time. There are no plans to provide smaller sized workunits.
* Although most of the RC5-72 cores in these clients are now partially optimized, we still welcome contributions of further core improvements. See the source code page for more details.
* Please do not send questions regarding these pre-release clients to any of the mailing lists. You are instead encouraged to ask them on IRC or by e-mailing support.

And that even though I almost forgot to contribute (forgot to flush my main computer; only 1400 instead of 8000 GNodes today )

Woohoo!
anybody calculated time to #9 ??
the-mk
We're 4.400.000 GNodes behind #9. We're gaining 610.000 Gnodes/day (at yesterday's speed). That would be 7.2 days.
