The end of the project is almost over, within sight anyways, and, worthy of a boxen or two.
I should have kept my PS3 pharm a few months longer <sigh>
I have the remaining 3 PS3s on OGR now, which is good for ~60,000 per day.

If you have never run dnet, please consider it.
If you have a multi-core system, how about on one core of a dual or quad?

The time has come for the members of Free-DC to stay focus as much as we can on OGR until the project ends.
Then we can all go back to our favorite projects and take a break for awhile.

Looking here as Stubspace 6 is closed out it seems the transition to 7 is already underway, but if I read it correctly the same amount of stubs are being completed which infers the size of the stubs is the same in 7 than 6.....

That is as expected, as far as I knew. Stubspaces 6 and 7 both comprise of 5-diff stubs. It is just the "stub-length" which differs, and I believe this to have no clear correlation to crunch time.

    Stubspace 6 = stub-length 1-98
    Stubspace 7 = stub-length 99-111

I think stub-length can be defined as the sum of the given marks on the status line. For example:

    25/4-22-13-12-17 = 4+22+13+12+17 = 68 (stubspace 6)
    25/4-8-26-40-30 = 4+8+26+40+30 = 108 (stubspace 7)

Things should change for stubspaces 8 and 9 though.

Wouldn't it be horrible/hilarious if stubspace 9 is where the true optimal golomb ruler is?

It doesn't really matter. We wouldn't have known that it was the most optimal without checking EVERY stub anyway. This isn't like RC5-72 where you find the winning key and then quit searching.

Looks like the stubs are being chewed through quickly.

Power up them beasts and bring on the backups!

    Top 750, woo-freaking-hoo!

These milestones seem to creep up on you. I suppose sticking to a project for quite a few months helps rather

I doubt very much I'll make it to another significant number prior to the end of the project, but I thought I'd have a spotlight moment for a few seconds

A few days should give me 5million for Free-DC and 6million overall

    More power guys

we have plenty of actives but we could always do with more.

The Cows are going to on Sept 1st but we definitely need to keep puching to ensure we make it as hard for Mooh as possible.

So fire them up if you have them we still need more power

I'm going away on 28th August and don't return until 15th September so not only will my numbers drop but also I may miss the end of the project. Hope not though.

Still pushing as hard as possible with what little I have.

Update: from any dnet stats page:

    Code:
    Stats are unavailable

Sorry, but stats are down at the moment.

There has been an unfortunate hardware failure that has brought stats temporarily offline.

But don't worry, because all completed work will continue to be counted and reflected on stats once they are brought back online.

For more information, check the .plans. Particularly, look at decibel's .plan

    Check back later.
Of course, I think they mean bovine's plans, which say the same thing as the announcement.

I think we broke the server with our surge

Always and on every project! Must have been the strain of all my points flooding in there that wiped 'em out.

That is simply proof that demons are real.

Either that, or it has something to do with people's brains trying to find patterns in everything. Your observation might occur for the same reason that white fluffy clouds can look like cows and choo-choo trains, or whatever.
