Unfortunately I would seriously doubt that mankind is really going to be able to get much of a handle on anything. A fundamental issue here for the planet is that humans have or are rapidly outrunning the planet's ability to sustain them. Yet whenever anyone talks of population management all the screaming about Hitler, etc., starts up, along with all the religious stuff. So if we can't get a handle on one of the basic issues I seriously doubt that we will be able to get anywhere on any of the other related issues. But again, all this is from the "human" perspective. Who knows, maybe all this is pre-determined, and is just another chapter in the evolution of the planet???? lol
