I've got a system with 340 generations, and it finally got the latest client, but the error log is now filling up with the following error:

"warning during upload: status 908. incorrect protein."

could we get a few more days to upload?

tpdooley: I've got 3 times that many, however... The resounding silence I'm hearing indicates that the Powers That Be (i.e. Howard) has gone home, hung it up, and quit for the weekend. Our pleas are falling on ears that aren't there. Our neatly-folded proteins have been weighed in the balance and found expendable.

In other words, swallow 'em and smile. I think we're too late, bro. It happens.

(Like, I'm gonna hang onto mine for a day or two & keep checking, just in case. But I think we missed da boat.)

We did not miss the boat, it sank hours ago and our old proteins are leaping into the water and following it to Davey Jones's Locker

Sounds like you're kicking yourself a lot harder than I am.. myself.. over not plugging this machine in that first night..*grin*

.. it keeps building up and then dropping down to 316 buffered generations.. so I'll leave it trying to upload..

Yeah, I had my computers folding online while I was away, but as auto update failed on all but 1 PC, I came home to a bit of a mess Such is life

    Ask and ye shall receive...
Ok, You now have 48 hrs from THIS moment to upload old proteins. (24 hrs for full credit).

Note if you already uploaded some stuff and it got erased from your machine, it may not then be accepted because it will appear as though there are missing generations, if you get what I mean, so if this is the case, tough luck

So what about all the old proteins uploaded and not counted the last day or two, are they going to be made OK now, or is it too bad for those uploaded in the middle, and not before or now

    Well, um... er...

That is, do you still, like, have a copy? Like on disk, sort of thing...

If ya do, GREAT! Start uploading. I did & it worked.

    If not, well...

Shouldn't leave your folding boxes, should you? Things like this happen if you will insist on going to see all the dead 'roos... You miss the upload time, then delete your old work. I hope this is a lesson learned :P
