Now, you see why cows always attack cryptographical project - their own language is more like a code and they probably want to have that cracked some time too

validation/stat run...this is Terra Incognita, we'll probably never know but if you're particulary interested you can always ask Chris about it.

Rumor has it that the DPC's are going to hold their dump off until july now. They want to break the 1000k barrier for mega dumps.

This is getting ridiculous :sleepy: ...I'll laugh a lot if somebody wraps challenge before their dump.

I've still got the single DP on my mom's 486, it could be the winner

alpha, are you using optimized version of client?
You can squeeze 500-600 aditional iterations/sec from it

i thought the probablity of the project getting solved within the next month was .9 a little while ago. if thats true then the dpc are taking a big risk in putting it back further

Of course! Who would use anything else When its only doing 4400i/s, every iteration counts

Oops, still haven't submitted that DP. I wonder what the odds are that its a winner, I could put some money on it

    Threat from behind

Hmmm....we are going to need some more firepower here soon.
There are only four of us active at the moment.

Team beOS are out producing us big time.

A matter of days before we are passed

I got an e-mail back from Chris with the explanation of how the validation works. From what he says, everything that gets submitted during the 6 hour interval (and is not filtered out) counts in the stats because there isn't a simple way to tell which points were submitted before and after the winning point.

So, it looks like we'll have to find it before they do.

Well, it's inevitable that we get passed by BeOS, but there are still some slower-producing teams ahead of us, so we could possibly regain #20. Or better. If the project doesn't end abruptly on July 1, or whenever DPC does their thing.

Free-DC is pretty sparse on all the projects, so it's slightly surprising we're ranked as high as we are across the board. That's not to say we wouldn't welcome some more crunchers...

    Heh, not long.

Hat's subteam is deploying with vigour for TVM. We're planning on taking first place before the end of the project.

i have moved some Ghz back to ECCP, should be good for a couple thousand per day
i think we can reach #15 unless it ends before august

i will be on vacation quite a bit over the next 6 weeks and don't want to leave DF running in my lab, so i am moving most of them to ECCP until i return towards the end of july
