Alright.... you guys are beginning to make me
So I put my new Dual XP1900 on ECCp just now.
After a couple/few days, I'll switch to the other Dual.
Then we will see if there is any difference in performance between the two boxen.
Both use
Tyan S2460 Motherboard,
Allied 400 watt PS,
2 - XP1900 AMD processors.
One is SCSI with 1 stick of 256mb Crucial ECC Reg. PC2100 DDR.
One is EIDE with 1 stick of 256mb Kingston Value ram PC2100 DDR.
Both systems are dedicated crunchers running Mandrake 8.2.
Both are on the boxes they came in, out on a table like the below picture.

I'm beginning to think 14 is not going to be too hard to reach now
i set my servers , (the ones i have been floppy dumping on M-W-F) with ECCP as a service , so that it is hidden and they are set to send their DP's back every 2-4 days in a staggered pattern
this way we'll continue to gain ground while i am out of town on vacation
one big dump after i returned would have been interesting, but i didn't like the risk that this could end before i had a chance to send them in

but in sept...I'll *probably* get access to +-20 duallies (1600, AMD), so...we shall see

Is that Team Picard catching us back there?
We shouldn't worry too much about Picard. The real threat to us is BeOS. The Picardians produce a large dump irregularly but usually tend to stay well below our daily rate. The BeOS guys are gaining steadily and could bump us back down to 15 about the time we pass Entrust.
Hope somebody on our team has a big dump saved up, or FoBoT turns the spigot back on. Myself, I may ramp up my already hectic rate of production to two or maybe three DPs a day.
Ahh by this time i would have a few DP saved up
ohh well $900 later im setting all my progs back up and Eccp is next on my list

Which client(s) should be used with Mandrake/Athlon/SMP ?
Got Linkage? I believe Supp will be updating the ECCp front page soon.
IB - I think your best bet will be two clients in seperate directories.

Just a heads up to anyone else using the Linux optimized client, it looks like the just uipdated to a new version, may want to update yourselves. I don't have any benchmarks on the new client though.
