    Talking Damn you Smiling Carnivore

I guess I'm going to have to scrape my pennies together and buy another box so I can finally pass you!
No matter how many my 2+ machines do you still out produce me.

You are definately keeping me on my toes MTP

You may have me now though, I just lost my main box due to Win2k throwing a fit, I lost about 600 stashed WU when a system repair ate both my Win2k and data partitions instead of just my Win2k partition. *shrugs* Happens I guess.

    What are you packing anyways?

My main box is my VP6 with dual PIII 1G, and then my true "dc only machine" is a PcChips 830LR mb with a 1700XP cpu.
Monday through Friday I "steal" my sons 1.3G duron to run G@H for me. I let them have "thier" computer on the weekends for games and of course they can have it anytime for homework

600wu stashed? Since I'm dail up I try to emtpy my machine at least every other day to eliminate the long upload times.

Hey last night I had a wu at 91 AA and 94 AA largest I've ever seen. Listed as taking 20hrs on the PIII 1G system !

May go grab another 830LR with either a another 1700 or may even go for the 1900XP, that seems to be the price break area.

I have it running as a service so I don't always thing about uploading. So every now and then I dial in before I go to bed and set it to upload everything.

I personally am running the following full time:
    1.4 GHzTBird Win2k
    1 Ghz Duron Slackware
    p200 MMX Slackware
    p166 Slackware
    p133 Slackware
    p90 Slackware

(Don't you love hand me downs?)

I also have several remote borgs, some of which upload regularly, some of which nonet until I can get to them. The 1 Ghz Duron will be becoming a netboot server as soon as I get the free time to work on setting it up. I have another 1 Ghz Duron sitting around waiting either for a hard drive or to be set up for netboot.

As for my next machine, I am eyeballing a pair of AMD MP's housed in a server case I found for a nice price.

    For you D?.......................

First let you warn you I don't have the original boxes, I do have the original cd's somewhere if you want them.

Both cards work great. The Elsa was my "test" card when people thought they were having vid problems.
The STB was running in my son's old computer using Nvidia ref drivers.

I'll let you have'm both for $35. That includes the $10 shipping probably to NC.

Well, I tinkered around with my main box and it looks like either the board is completely borked or the bios got fouled up one way or another. I am leaning towards the board being fouled as there are numerous problems ranging from post errors to Win2k locking upon logging in. *sigh* Well, there is the excuse I needed to grab a dual proc board... Hmmm, Tyan Tiger... Yum!

    Dyyryath-
Cards are on the way finally (sorry 'bout that)

    Guru,

Some more info on the BP6 setups.
AThe one with the G-Orbs also has had the agp mod done by me to allow GF2 cards to work with no problems. The G-Orbs were also modded by me to fit properly. The board runs great at 550 but it wont let the o/s install at 550, always had to turn it down to 366 for install. The cpus have also been lapped down to a shinny copper finish. Also using a beta bios that included the HPT366 bios to allow IBM hdd drives to be used. (I had a IBM Deskstar 7200 ATA100 15G drive in it)

    The mb, 2x366 celerons, 2x G-Orbs -- lets say $150 plus shipping.

BThis one I'm not sure if I really want to let it go. Runs and can load o/s at 550 with no problems. No mods have been done to it. The heatsinks are Alpha6035 with delta fans. The Ram is Mushkin HSDram PC150 runs at 100 cas2 (4.5ns). I tried to run this ram at 133 and it wont. Only 100 and 150 (I used it on my KT7A that I used to have and on my VP6 when I was running dual 700@1050).

    The mb, 2x366 celerons, 2x Alpha 6035s, 2x 128M PC150 Muskin HSDram sticks -- $225 plus shipping.

The only reason I have a hard time parting with these boards is because I really like playing with these setups. I had a BP6 when they first hit the market. Water-cooled 2x400@600 and loved it. Sold that off when I bought a Tiger100 with 2x700@933. Missed the BP6 so much I bought 2 used with 2x366 each. Both boards came broken so I RMA'd them to Abit for $25 and got 2 new BP6 boards (these) 2 weeks later.

I have run Win2k and Mandrake 8 on both with no issues and that includes using the HPT366 chipset (IBM drive on one, 2 ATA66 WD 8.5G hdd in the other). Both boards suffer from the picture rendering lockup problem (some believe to be caused by the EC10).

    Let me know.
