I also put a machine on this project. Seems not to interfer with find-a-drug.

What do I have to know when I start? Download the (commandline, windows) client, edit the configfile and start? Seems to work for me ..

    That will work fine
You can also use FireDaemon to run it as a service.

I've added an XP3000 to the mix. Anything I need to know about the client or the project?

I've got my XP 2200+ on this but I only have a dialup connection available, which isn't active much. So I won't be producing much, but I like the idea that it doesn't munch all my CPU cycles.

Currently installing Linux emulation on my FreeBSD box so I can use the Linux binary on it. It isn't much but it all counts, etc.

I should be on the stats from a little work I did a couple of days ago.

It takes up about 10%-20% away from DF output, but, runs extremely well with the DF client, low memory foot print to.

    HAHAH!!!!
Agent Smith was right!: "I hate this place. This zoo. This prison. This reality, whatever you want to call it, I can't stand it any longer. It's the smell! If there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I've somehow been infected by it."

i think our daily rate is actually higher than theirs, its the weekly rate that is just a tad behind, but in a few more days, that should be turned about

    Gaining again?

Looks like they started playing chess again. Their daily rate is going up.

  39. #39
Nother node added. Its an old junky Dell Opteron (200 Mhz, not much RAM).

How much computing power does CB really need? Will a 200Mhz get the same points as a 1.7Ghz? Or is it dependant on computing power? Thanks

  40. #40
No- the 1.7 will, over time, produce more points because the throughput is faster. The individual jobs are all worth more or less the same, but the 200 won't do as many over a fixed interval.
